Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless Headphones, ANC, 60 Hr Battery, Graphite

I decided on these because of the reviews. And price was right for me. Here is my honest opinion. Sound is awesome, and noise cancelling is good. The special features (like headphone turn off and on as you take them off and on. Side ear swipe controls and sennheiser app for more controls) Well . . . if they work . . . it is very nice. You can only run the app through your phone. So that is a drawback. I found the swipe controls don't hardly work unless you are using the app itself. So if I have music say on amazon music unlimited through my laptop none of the feature work well, or at all. If I am running my music through my phone and with the app the features work at first but the the longer I listen the less likely they are bound to work. Meaning the swipe controls for vol, skip song and tap on and off and turning on noise cancellations setting. I lose connection more then I should for no reason. Lets just say I have to go back to my phone app to turn on and off the feature to get them to work correctly way too much. So If you are OK with great sound and noise cancellation with a super long battery life and can put up with the flaws of the special features that you paid for, then buy these. They are very comfortable for me. Sound was too good to send them back though, just disappointed in the special features that sometimes work and sometimes not. (haven't used phone feature at all yet) update 06-16-24: So I now have had these about a year now. My opinion has changed and I thought I would update my review. I am old (62) so I still do a lot of listening through my MP3 players (I have several - not always listening through my phone). My biggest gripe when I got them was the controls and getting the touch features to work properly. Well, it may have been operator error and just getting used to the headphones. I don't seem to be having any trouble with any listening device anymore. When I take my headphones off my head they stop and when I put them back on they start. One thing that I had trouble with early on. I have had a chance to try out the phone features and sound since the purchase and it is pretty darn good. I can not compare to other competitors though, And I don't use that a lot. So sound is great, comfort is great, battery is great and features are now upgraded to great as well I love em. Buy em!

I use this while doing chores or on the exercycle so as not to disturb my wife. Erases the vacuum sound when cleaning. Pairing with a phone and smart TV is easy. Once paired, power on and off is automatic and flawless. The phone app is easy to use and absolutely essential. A negative: touch controls on the right earcup are clumsy and not user friendly, but they can be disabled in the app, which I recommend. Sennheiser could improve the touch controls by molding bumps into the right earcup at appropriate locations for tactile feedback. Touching the right earcup blindly yields unpredictable results.

I bought these headphones for daily use back in July of 24, and I really like them overall in the 6+ months I’ve used them :) The noise cancelling is great, sound quality is nice, the headphones hold about three to four days of near constant use which is stellar. The headphones hold a connection with my devices from across the house without disconnect which is really cool. They are comfortable and easy to put on and take off, and are fairly sturdy and can take a beating. Being someone with auditory sensory issues that makes loud noises unbearable for me, these have become an essential accessibility tool for my everyday life. Pretty much almost all day, almost all the time. I think these are quality headphones that hold up to the standard I expect from Sennheiser. I am a near-lifelong Sennheiser customer however (I used my old HD690’s for YEARS) so I will admit my biases. HOWEVER! It is not without issues. 1) Multi-device connection can be a bit problematic at times. Sometimes connections can drop seemingly at random. I’ve noticed this issue is particularly bad when you have two of these headphones connected to the same device (my roommate also has one). If you’re the only user, it’s not as big of an issue, but it’s still something to be aware of. Being a heavy user I’d say this happens about once per day. 2) Noise Cancelling can sometimes drop into full transparency at random. I don’t know why this does this. I have adaptive ANC and wind noise reduction turned off so it should not be changing at all unless I change it in the settings. Again, having auditory sensory issues, sudden loud noises can put me in a panic so this is a recipe for disaster for me. For everyone else, it’s an annoyance at best. Either way, if I set a setting, it should never change unless I change it. Speaking of… 3) ANC settings, sound control and connection management can only be done through the Smart Control phone app. There is no PC equivalent. I think this is extremely problematic for the longevity of these headphones. Although it’s something I accept because I have my phone on me a lot, I really hate that it has to be tied to an app, let alone a closed-source one that requires registration. I shouldn’t have to be forced to give my data for the sake of using my headphones to their fullest. It’s important to mention that this issue is not one of Sennheiser’s alone - pretty much all audio devices, especially wireless ones, will have some kind of app involved - but it’s still a pretty big issue nonetheless. Even with these issues, I still recommend these headphones, especially if you can get them on sale. These are really, really good. EDIT 4/7/2025 - These headphones bricked out of the blue this morning. Cannot connect via Bluetooth at all. Device immediately unpairs after pairing. Obviously outside of Amazon’s refund window so this is in Sennheiser’s court now. More than a little upset considering it helps me function on the day-to-day. But, supposedly issue #2 just got fixed in a recent firmware update, so there’s that. Sucks that it’s behind an app. The only reason I’d still recommend these headphones are if you use the audio cable it comes with. It works flawlessly on anything with an audio jack. But at that point, you could probably find a similar device for a quarter of the price. I’m so disappointed, but not surprised.

After having these headphones for the past year, I have to say that these are definitely 5/5 headphones. I'm not sure what some of the complaints are about, but I think some folks with the lesser reviews must have gotten faulty devices, because the only time I've ever had a connectivity issue was when I mistakenly had both my speakers and my headphones connected. As a matter of fact, I've actually found myself more annoyed by them automatically turning on and connecting when I had literally just turned them off to put them away. There's something about the "on-ear" function that senses when you're wearing them. When the ear muffs go face down in the case, the headphones will sometimes think that they're being put on your head. If you're doing it in a fluid manner, they won't turn back on, but if you turn them off, set them down, and then put them away shortly after, they'll probably turn on. I believe the noise cancellation is solid. When I don't have any music playing and just have the noise cancellation active I can't hear much at all. Normal conversation is definitely out of the realm of possibility. If someone's talking to you and you're not looking straight at them, you wouldn't know it. You can hear some of the louder traffic that passes by if you're walking down the street, but if you have your music on you're not very likely to hear anything but larger/louder vehicles. I would say sound over 80 dB and you can start to hear things through the noise cancellation. I've used these for casual gaming on my PS5. You have to connect the headphones directly into the controller, but I'm pretty sure that's just a Sony thing so that you'll buy their PS5-specific headphones. Anybody I've played with has never complained about not being able to hear me and anyone I've asked says I come through clearly. I asked people specifically to know if they would work well with games as well as music, and I think they're great for both. There is good spatial sound. In video games you can hear things like directional footsteps and know whether someone is in front of you, coming around a corner, or behind you. With music you'll hear background sounds that the recording picked up or different notes or instruments that you've never heard before in songs you've heard a hundred times. Now, let me be very clear here: these are not $1,000+ "audiophile" hardwired, gold plated, top-of-line headphones for top-quality production. I'm just a regular consumer who loves to listen to good music, with great volume, bass, and body. For all practical purposes, these are absolutely fantastic. The size of the headphones is reasonable. Not too big, not too small. I've seen some complaints about the ear cups being too small, which from one standpoint I understand. On the other hand, they're actually really comfortable. The material is soft, the headband is comfortable, they're adjustable, and for me, they've never been too tight. They were maybe a bit tight for the first week or so I had them, but nothing memorable or headache inducing. The material on the ear cups, while comfortable and soft, does make me wonder when, not if, the material starts to break down. If you sweat, prepare for your ears to get hot and sweat. The material isn't absorbent at all, so you don't have to worry about your headphones getting soggy, but sweat will definitely build up on the cups and it can become a little uncomfortable if you're walking in a bit of heat. On the same note of not being too tight on your head, they're also not terribly heavy. I think they weigh a bit more than the old school Beats - when they were still owned by Dre - but I can say they're far, far superior to the Beats. You can feel it and you can hear it. The case they come in is solid and compact - as compact as it can get for headphones that don't fold in half. It fits in my backpack just fine and it definitely won't get crushed unless you're really trying to damage the case. It would take a full body fall and the case's first thing to give way would be the zipper. Even then, there's not a wide enough range for the case to entirely break down and crush the headphones. I believe that if you slipped on ice, for example, and fell straight on them, they would survive. I compared these to the XM5's and I think these have a deeper bass. I think the soundstage/spatial sound is more in depth with the XM5's, but you most likely wouldn't be able to tell unless you've got a very keen ear or you're directly comparing them side by side. I have no idea why these are currently priced at $450. A year ago I spent around $300 for them. It was a great deal then, and I would probably spend $400 again if I ever needed to replace them. If I do look to get "nicer" headphones, Sennheiser will definitely be a brand I'll look for first. The software for Sennheiser is not that great, but it's been improving since I got the headphones. You can adjust noise cancellation, wind cancellation, highs, mids, lows, bass, etc. You can adjust your functionality, such as how your touch controls function on the outside of your headphones - swiping up will turn the volume up, tapping it will pause the music and so on. You can answer or decline calls with it, but I just do that on my phone to not accidentally pick up a phone call I don't want. If you have your own settings and you've got them turned up beyond what they reasonably can do, you'll sometimes get a skip in one of the speakers. Mine just so happens to occur in the left ear, but once I corrected my settings it stopped happening. I do wish the volume could be turned up another notch, but I'm pretty sure if they were to go any louder then they would cause real hearing damage after about 20-30 minutes. I listen to my music loud and have had no worries about hearing damage, which I've been paying for as time goes on, but if you adhere to realistic settings then you will be just fine. If you start to go over on your setting boosts in certain categories, you'll hear it start to get a little muddy or tinny depending on the setting. If you hear either of those, even a little bit, change your settings. The first firmware update took 10 or 15 minutes and your phone screen has to stay on during the download and installation otherwise it will cut out for some reason. So plug in your phone and make sure you have your screen on and the app open for the duration otherwise it gets interrupted. It took me a couple tries to realize that. For anybody looking for headphones in the sub <$500 range, these are almost perfect. Mine get regular use, the battery is just insane, the sound quality is solid and comes through in a consistent manner. You can tell when a song has been recorded or produced on a lesser scale than some others. They can really make certain artists/songs/producers stand out more than others. They also play every genre of music well. If you think of a sound system, a 12" sub will have a slower reaction time than a 10" sub, for example, so if your hip hop sounds better on a 12" and your tighter bass sounds come through a bit better on a 10" sub, these headphones feel to be right down the middle. I say "feel" and not "sound" because if you've ever had a sound system in your car then you know the vibrations you get from that strong, amplified bass through your subs. You can almost replicate that feeling with good headphones and these don't weigh heavily one way or the other.

I want to start by saying that I’m not an audio enthusiast. I’m just someone who wanted a genuinely good pair of headphones after mostly using sub-$100 headphones, so keep that in mind when reading this review. I’m judging the MOMENTUM 4s from the perspective of a regular listener. I bought these used in “Like New” condition, and I honestly couldn’t tell they were used. They arrived six days earlier than the original estimated delivery date, which was already a nice surprise. There were no noticeable scuffs, scratches, frays on the headband or case, or really any cosmetic damage at all. I also couldn’t find any noticeable fingerprints or oils on them. Even the packaging was basically mint. There were no fingerprints, scuffs, or dents on either the shipping box or the actual product box. Obviously, packaging condition varies from seller to seller, but it was still a huge plus for me. Everything was included as well: the headphone cable, airplane adapter, charging cable, and unfortunately, the dreaded roadmap manual. Seriously, why can’t we just staple these things? I don’t want to unfold an entire sheet of paper every time I want to read something. I love the attention to detail that Sennhieser put into these. Everything is properly color coded to the headphones! Comfort Unfortunately, this is probably the weakest part of the M4s for me. I’ve seen quite a few reviews mention that the comfort improves as the headphones loosen up, so I’m hoping that’s the case. The clamping force on the M4s isn’t necessarily what bothers me the most. It’s the headband... I can’t really explain why, but it starts causing a bit of an ache on the top of my head after only a couple of minutes. It is completely bearable though. Still, for something this expensive, I’d like the comfort to be better. Hopefully it improves with more use. Sound Quality Now for the important part. These sound incredible to me. Again, I came from the Sony WH-CH720Ns, so comparing my experience to audiophile-grade headphones wouldn’t make much sense. But these are easily the best-sounding headphones I’ve ever personally used. The biggest thing I noticed was the clarity. Everything just sounds more separated and defined. The bass is also much cleaner than what I’m used to. I’ve owned a few different headphones over the years. I started mostly with Skullcandy headphones, including a couple of pairs that eventually broke during middle school. After that, I moved to the Sony WH-CH720Ns in high school, which were a noticeable improvement. The Skullcandys I owned had a lot of bass, but to my ears, it was often muddy and overwhelming. I know plenty of people love a lot of bass, but that kind of bass isn’t for me. When it starts drowning out vocals and higher-frequency sounds, it just makes music sound sloppy. (I can't speak for their newer pairs however) The MOMENTUM 4s are completely different. The bass is 100% there, but it doesn’t seem to drown out vocals or higher-end sounds. Everything feels much clearer and crisper. For what it’s worth, I still think the WH-CH720Ns are a fantastic budget option if you can get them for under $100. They’ve served me well. The MOMENTUM 4s are just on another level. Transparency Mode I haven’t really had enough time to properly test transparency mode yet. Honestly, though, I’ve always found it easier to just take an earbud or headphone off rather than press a button or use a gesture whenever I need to hear something. So this isn’t really a feature I expect to use constantly; if ever. I’ll definitely test it more over time. Battery Life It’s way too early for me to judge the advertised 60-hour battery life, but my initial experience has been really impressive. The headphones arrived at around 40% battery at roughly 4 PM, and after around 8–10 hours of pretty much constant use with ANC turned on, they’ve only dropped by around 10%. Obviously, I haven’t had these long enough to make any claims about whether they’ll actually reach the advertised battery life. But based on what I’ve seen so far, battery life definitely doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a problem. App & Features The Sennheiser app works perfectly fine so far. I usually prefer leaving the EQ alone unless something immediately sounds off, and in this case, nothing really did. I played around with some of the EQ presets, but most of them either sounded too similar for me to notice a meaningful difference or just didn’t sound as good as the default tuning. I also turned off the hand gestures for phone calls. I don’t really want to accidentally accept or hang up on a call because I touched something wrong. I'm glad it isn't hard coded and that I can turn that off! The other gestures are intuitive enough and pretty easy to remember. One feature I really like is the automatic play/pause when you take the headphones off and put them back on. So far, it’s worked pretty seamlessly. Bluetooth Bluetooth has been excellent. Pairing them with both my PC and phone was extremely fast, and I haven’t experienced any connection issues or noticeable problems. There is one funny downside, though: these things REALLY want to connect. They’ll reconnect to my PC even after I’ve disconnected them over and over, which means I have to turn off Bluetooth on the PC completely if I don’t want them connecting again. It’s not a huge problem, but it can definitely be a minor inconvenience. Design & Build Quality The design is my favorite things about these headphones and the main reason I got them. I specifically went with the brown version, which seems to be a pretty unpopular color choice. Personally, I love it. It matches me really well, and I think the brown gives them a more premium and unique look to the black headphones I also got. I also really like the Sennheiser logos embedded into both sides of the headband. They’re subtle and tasteful and not garish like some other brands. The textured fabric material on the headband looks and feels premium, and I really like the metallic-looking plastic finish on the headphones themselves. It doesn’t seem to attract fingerprints very easily either, which is another nice touch, considering they're touch controlled. The ear cushions seem perfectly fine so far. I don’t really have any complaints about them, but I wouldn’t say they’re the standout part of the headphones either. The left and right ear imprints inside the ear cups are useful! i also noticed on the left side, between the headband and the earphone, there's a few small bumps that don't appear on the right, i'm led to believe this is another indicator of which way the headphones go on? I haven't heard anyone talk about this so I'm not entirely sure, but it is something i noticed. Negatives So far, comfort is really the only significant negative I’ve found. The clamping force is a little strong for my liking, and the headband just isn’t particularly comfortable for me. Hopefully that improves as I use them more. Other than that, I really haven’t found much to complain about after my first day. Was $170 Worth It? Absolutely. I originally bought these for around $200, but after emailing the seller about their price change a day later, they immediately issued me a refund the next morning. That brought my final price down to about $170 USD. Since then, the price for a used “Like New” pair has dropped even further to around $160, although prices obviously vary depending on the specific listing and color. In my case, I think the brown version being less popular actually worked in my favor because it seems to be one of the cheaper options on the used market. Considering the MOMENTUM 4s normally sell for around $250, getting a mint-condition pair for $170 feels like an absolute steal. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these to someone who asked me to find them a pair of headphones under $200. The sound quality alone has been a massive upgrade from what I’m used to, and the build quality, battery life, features, and overall design have all been impressive so far. That said, this is only a first impression after about a day of use. I’m especially interested to see how the comfort changes over time and how well everything holds up over the next few months. I’ll try to remember to update this review around December with my longer-term thoughts. So far, though? I’m very happy with my $170 purchase.

5 stars to me. 4 stars all around for the average consumer due to issues I believe others will find a problem with but I have found some workarounds for I will start off with the flaws (unfortunately it has em) from my experience and some solutions. They are mostly features based. I'll also address confusions and "negative" experiences as there are reviews where clearly it's the people and not the headphones that are the problem yet they are giving this a worse impression that it should have. And lastly praise what it has going well for it Also, I will highly suggest downloading the new app version called smart control PLUS and install any firmware updates. Then go adjust settings or it will have some annoyances. Flaws On-head detection: this causes most of the headaches. For those that like to free up an ear to listen to someone talk better - make a habit of freeing your left ear and not the right. There is a sensor to detect your ear and it is only INSIDE the right earcup. It makes a double click noise when it detects and stops detecting your ear. Unfortunately it makes a similar sound for both which is a huge flaw as you might not know if it is detecting or not sometimes. This will trigger the auto off feature if it doesn't detect you while you're listening to music. It usually pauses from the headset, but there is a possibility it can be ignored by an app and continue playing so when you put it back on you might not even know if it detected you. Another possibility is you made the mistake of pressing play from the app itself when it stops detecting you thus eventually triggering the sleep feature. You can disable auto off but I personally put it in 1 hour just in case as I would have likely readjusted my headset by that point and reset it. This goes into the next feature: auto play. It's perfectly fine on mobile but on PC it can be a nightmare as you could be listening to music, you adjust your right earcup so it pauses and when you put it back on, it might play some other video like youtube in an open browser; it depends on the programs that behave to bluetooth pause/play. So don't have so many open video/audio programs in the background. Also for those with long hair, autoplay can struggle to detect if it completely covers your right ear (some people start to think it stopped working). Overall, I just disabled autoplay while keeping auto-off enabled as I mainly use the M4 on PC, but again, it seems to work really well on mobile. Plus of course if any of these aren't necessary to you, you can simply disable it as a whole for an old fashioned headphone experience to avoid annoyances but I have gotten used to it at this point that I rarely have issues [Update: I just learned on May 2025 that as of the new firmware 2.13.42 it reads "Improved auto-off behavior reducing unexpected behavior during calls or streaming due to misdetection in smart pause sensor", so perhaps this section might become untrue with less flaws down the road thus hopefully improving user experience] Multi- point connection: It can and will connect to two devices that have bluetooth active after they have been paired. There are individuals that pair their headphones to everything and might experience a random connection. Unfortunately no disabling this so you have to be precise with what you want to connect this with. I only paired this to PC and mobile so it doesn't attempt to connect to anything else but in the app you can click to what else in the list want to connect to (or delete). When it detects multiple signals it will prioritize connecting to what you last used, it seems. Not an issue for me. Also, it will ALWAYS prioritize audio for the first connection of the two which will usually be the phone. This is important. If it connects to my phone first, well lets say Im on the PC listening to music, once your phone makes any kind of sound, your audio will switch to it and interrupt the music, then resume playing your PC's music. Because of this, disable useless sounds like the lock screen opening sounds because that will trigger a switch (not sure about typing sounds). I have sound on for notifications to get my attention for the phone but if that is an annoyance I would try connecting other devices (like PC) as your main device first and then phone second. That way, it will ONLY play audio on the main device (PC) in spite of your phone making noises or playing audio. I tend to disable phone bluetooth, so it isn't an issue for me what connects first anyways. Now, this is a major flaw which may have been addressed in the new firmware update and app but I have not fully tested yet so this is based on months old experience. Last flaw with this. Do not have constant audio playing on -BOTH- devices because it will cause some static to what you are listening to. No idea why this happens but sometimes the music sounds glitchy and I realize it's because my PC is playing music alongside my phone. All it takes is not having something like music playing on the second device and it gets clean. Reboot: it can be done on the power button after holding for over 15 seconds. Be careful NOT to do this if it is not your intention. I have a friend who accidentally did this High resolution: app is glitched if you try to do personalized sound after enabling high resolution. It will ask you to disable high resolution before proceeding. All you have to do is go to standard mode, make your sound profile, then go back and enable High Resolution. Confusions: ANC: some people complain you can't turn off ANC. You sort of can. Old app, on the ANC slide, you put the slider in the middle. Most importantly, the new version of the app now allows to turn off ANC and might possibly increase your battery life. Oh, and some people remark of ANC randomly activating when outside. That is the wind noise reduction activating during air blowing directly to your mics. You can turn it off in ANC settings (you can also adjust transparency during phone calls there) but trust me that you don't want to hear wind transmitted into a headset Auto-answer calls: complaints on this but another reason you need the app to disable it if you don't want it. Aut-connect: some complain that if it moves it will auto connect or cause confusion when they don't know why their bluetooth loud speakers stopped working until they realize the headphones are connected. I personally love auto connect and has never been an issue. I put my headphones away where it won't move at all and once I grab it, boom, just straightforward and smooth connection grab and go. This is a feature of auto off so if you don't want it to be doing this you can either disable auto off (more like sleep) or turn off the headphones directly from the power button (which means you will also have to turn it back on with the button). I don't think of it as a flaw to be honest Discord/meeting calls: This is a big one. There are people mentioning how when they get on discord, their music and game sounds muffled. That is its hands free activating because it believes you are in a call. It prioritizes the call once it is activating its mic. You may have noticed it on your phone before too with music getting muffled. Problem is these then get compared directly to a gaming headset. Most gaming headsets have a usb dongle. Those dongles are designed to give both high quality low latency audio and mic signals at the same time. These? They are bluetooth headsets not specifically designed for gaming but rather for high quality audio. This is not a major fault of the headset. There exists a workaround for this but you will have to disable handsfree and rely on a different mic (which can be a far superior option anyways). To do this - on windows 11, go to settings. Click "bluetooth & devices". Then click on "view more devices" up top to go to a drop down list of devices. Scroll all the way down until you find "more devices and printer settings". Find the M4 headset, right click and go to properties. Click on the hardware tab. On this list, look for Name "Momentum 4 Hands-Free" that is under Type "Sound, Video...". Click once on it then click on properties below. In properties, General tab, click on the blue and yellow shield that says Change Settings. Then go to the Driver tab and Click Disable Driver. Reboot PC. Can be undone in similar method. At this point it has no headset mic active ~specifically~ on the PC (phone should be unaffected) so audio will be clear but now an external mic will be needed. Experiences: Connectivity: people say they have connectivity issues but thankfully it is very rare for me. It has a good distance to it too. I keep up to date with everything on my phone Touchpad: some say it is very sensitive. It is certainly more sensitive than usual but there are exaggerations to it. My hair does not trigger it. Turning my head does not trigger it. I don't trigger it with a hoodie on. I don't wear beanies over it (why would you?) so I cant say anything there. Stretching my arms above my head might trigger and laying my head on the right side might make it think you want to change volume or transparency. But some of these reviews are funny. They are not rated to be water resistant at all (like most headsets) so if rain drops trigger it, actually no, WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE IT IN THE RAIN? App: the app is fine minus the glitch [refer to High Resolution in Flaws] and has only been improving bit by bit. There's now also a new version which requires a new download that will likely be getting more of a focus on Durability: it is plastic which makes it lighter but thankfully I have not broken anything. I have bumped it into things, dropped it once. I try to treat is as glass so these are rare occurrences. I would not work out in these due to the fact they are not designed to deal with liquid. If problems occur because you work out in these, well that's your fault, but there exist rubber sweat covers to put over the padding to help out a bit. The Sennheisers Momentum 4/Sport earbuds I believe have water resistance and might be worth a look instead if you need a true gym companion Strengths Audio quality: right out of the box, they are great. It has a neutral sound profile while having some attention to bass. There are presets in the app that are decent and it really does not need a bass booster but it exists. To be honest, I would skip everything and go straight for the sound personalization feature in the app. It's very simple to adjust, uses mostly sliders while you listen to audio. And once you are done it will create a setting that somehow manages to be far superior than what's already available in the app. It just cleans up the sound so much more to your liking; the difference is bewildering. Ever since that point, I have not listened to music the same. Just when I thought I was getting bored of music, these revived that love to want to listen to everything again and also motivated me to listen to things I never did before. There is literally pre-Sennheiser and during-Sennheiser eras to me now and am curious to their wired headsets. One thing that will become super noticeable is its soundstage. It spreads the instruments to a degree where you can notice more of everything. Albeit, this can be discombobulating and bassheads might not like the lack of sharp precision but this isn't meant to be your average linear listening experience (the Accentum Plus offers this at a much lower price). To give an example: What is Life by George Harrison. I might prefer it on the more linear style I am used to but these can separate things to the point where it is also directional and you can feel like you are standing at a concert and George is directly in the middle of it all in front of you so it feels more real- similar to as if you are becoming conscious of your own breathing. And in midst of all the chaos, you can still clearly hear George's voice and you notice ALL of the instruments more. It first gave me goosebumps how much it changed the song. Some songs are designed to be "linear" which could possibly affect emotional type of songs negatively but from a musical perspective, my goodness it is incredible. Now I just go back to see what music I am used to that changes with these (hint: a lot). Electronic/hip-hop music perhaps is the exception but this gives such clarity to detail that it is still a great listen- one thing is for sure these headsets love when there is a band setup (Bjork, the Roots, Gorillaz, etc). Sound quality is the biggest reason you go for these. Comfort: I can go on for a while without my ears hurting or anything. Also these don't heat up much and has proper adjustability for bigger heads Look: I have the black with copper ring and they are absolutely gorgeous. I question the longevity of the cloth on the headstrap but it makes it more beautiful than it has any business being for a plastic headset Features: ANC is better than I expected. It does its job, and though it might not lead in this category, the differences are so small compared to the competition. Also drowned out what I needed it to during plane trips. And hearthrough, although I have had better, they will more than suffice to the point where I rarely have any issues hearing people. The fact that it is good at both of these is amazing for value. Battery: they can go up to nearly 60 hours, especially in standard mode. Not an exaggeration. I can go days without charging them. For this quality of headset, I don't think much of the competition comes close to this. In fact this is the mind blowing part because most other bluetooth headsets don't sound anywhere as good as these and they have half the battery life if not worse. No fears when travelling that it will die on me. In fact, it lasted me an entire week's trip Surprises Gaming: it has low enough latency. Combine that with that very clean audio and surprising directional audio this already has and wow, it performs quite well. I can actually spot details better and sometimes extra details I wasn't aware like I remember distinctly many months ago when I played Paladins, not only was I able to hear behind a wall slightly above me, but I realized it was subtle high heel sounds. I am not saying this will replace top of the line gaming headsets like steel series but if you have these and not a gaming headset, these will more than suffice. Charging: I was already enamored by the battery life but the fact is, it handles charging nearly as well. You can get hours worth per 10 minutes of charging and around an hour and a half or so it will be fully charged. That may not sound great but half of that will net you 30 hours of life which is STILL more than the competition. And the other surprise was that I accidentally discovered on the PC that you can still use it while charging - it simply appears as a different sound output you have to switch to. I thought it was weird how multiple momentum 4's appeared but when I clicked the other output, music started booming through it again. I was shocked. It already has a super long battery life with quick charging. It doesn't need it yet it has it. I have never had a headset that allows that with USB-C. Sennheiser were practically showing off at this point. So I would get a super long cable to make this comfortable during charging if you think this is a feature you will be using These are already the greatest -bluetooth- headsets I have ever owned under the $500 mark. I have tried out direct competitors Airpods Max (best hearthrough and good clean quality) and Sony Xm5's (amazing features and stylish) but the M4 felt like a no brainer. The max have poor battery life (under 20 hours) meanwhile these can reach close to triple that. The XM5's are light and so smooth with their features and touchpad (I loved speak to chat) but their fragility comes into question as they are notorious for the hinges breaking no matter how good you take care of them while the M4's mostly have earpads wearing down (easily replaceable). Meanwhile, guess what? The M4's imo sound better than both of them, are more comfortable than both, and can be found MUCH cheaper than both as I have seen it as low as $190. Even if, say, the Bowers & Wilkins PX8 might have slightly better audio and a better build, it's not a major difference so it is imo horrifically overpriced while this just has much higher value after sales and is an easier recommendation Overall, it absolutely bothers me just how overrated the other headsets on Amazon usually are meanwhile these get a bad impression. If you are a fan of music and you want to improve that experience with the bluetooth format at great affordability, it doesn't get better than these

The good: - The Sound is great in my opinion, I'm not an audiophile, but I do enjoy quality sound. - Battery life is amazing. I'm talking days without charging using all day. - Mostly comfortable, which is something I was concerned with. - Bluetooth seems reliable, occasional disconnects, but I attribute that to my tablet as it's range seems limited. - Fit and Finish: I've had quite a few over the ear headphones and Senheiser put thought into this and did a decent job in my opinion so I thought I'd put at least a little thought into my response to this. - The cushions on the cups going around the ears are comfortable. They're soft, and just cushy enough. They did a great job with this. Many headsets are often too hard, not enough cushion, a weird material, or just not comfortable for some other reason. Maybe I'm just too picky... - Depth of cups plus cushion is okay, and they'er angled to fit the profile of your ear instead of just a flat cup. My ears don't stick out a ton, but they do a little bit. I've never had a over the ear headphones that didn't cause chafing or iritation over time. Unfortunately Senheisers are no different here. They do have a softer foam in the cups than I've seen in other cups, and I'm sure the angled cups help so I give them credit for that. It would be nice if the angle were a little deeper, or if they had some sort of add on to extension for those with wider ear bases but still they are more comfortable then most other headsets I've had. - The band is decent. I don't know about you, but after wearing headphones for a while that band can eventually start to feel like it's hold a bag of rocks above your skull. Senheiser uses what I assume is a silicon material with an okay amount of what I assume is memory foam. I think they could have used slightly more dense memory foam or maybe a little bit more of whatever they use now. They certainly could have had more around the corners of the band. I still feel that band against my skull and wish I didn't. It is better than many other headsets with little to no cushion or the crappy elastic band that wears out after a week and ends up being crappy padding against metal. - The finish itself is decent. The cups sleek and clean. No significant gaps, and it doesn't feel cheaply made. The top is a cloth material that is nice, but can attract pet hair and lint. The Senheiser symbols on the band are small and ever so slightly sharp. I doubt enough to cut you unless you wack them pretty hard by accident, but they could have softened that a touch more I think. For those that are blind, there's a braille L on the inside of the left band denoting the left side for you, I have never seen this before or at least never noticed it, so I'm giving Seheiser props for this. The bad: - The touch controls on the right ear cup are awful, I'm not talking about the gestures and how they work, they're WAY too sensitive. I wear hoodies a lot, and my hood would set them off constantly and eventually I just disabled it all together so I never even had a chance to really learn the gestures. - They're a little heavy. Not terrible, just more than I'd prefer, but that's the cost of quality and battery life I guess. The beige: - Noise canceling isn't bad, per se, I think they could have done better, especially at this price point. - Price: I'm torn on the price. I like the headphones especially the battery life and sound. The comfort is better than most, but mostly around the ear pads. Improvements where I could see fit the price point: Better padding in the band Better foam in the cups Make extension or something for wider ear base Better noise canceling Less Sensitive touch pad, a more limited the touch pad area, and maybe limit the material that can interact with the touch pad. Some asides. The android app works on de-googled android devices. This is 100% a plus to me. I wish it were opensource, or they made it available outside of google play store, but can't get everything you wish for I guess.

I ended up returning these headphones after owning them for less than a month. The right side completely stopped working while I was listening to music. The touch controls on the right ear cup still worked, but there was no audio coming from that side. I tried reconnecting, updating, and factory resetting the headphones, but nothing fixed the issue. I also had a few smaller issues while using them. The automatic noise canceling adjustments would make a beeping sound every time the headphones changed settings, which became annoying when it happened multiple times within a short period. The touch controls would also occasionally pick up my hair and accidentally pause music or change settings. My biggest disappointment was the overall feel of the headphones. For the price, I expected them to feel more premium and sturdy. They are lightweight and comfortable, but they did not feel as durable as I expected from headphones in this price range. The best way I can describe it is that they felt closer to a cheaper pair of wireless headphones rather than a premium product. The sound quality was excellent. The vocals and instruments sounded clear, and the noise canceling worked very well at blocking out most noise. However, for the price I was disappointed and would have a hard time recommending these headphones based on the reliability issues I experienced. The sound quality was impressive, but the durability did not meet my expectations for a pair of headphones in this price range.

Sempre tive vontade de ter um fone sennheiser original, e este importado da china (afinal todos são fabricados lá na asia) é original e a meu ver perfeito! O isolamento de ruidos é satisfatorio, não preciso de muito. Seu audio é maravilhoso, e usando o app de androide tem diversas equalizações, mas eu deixei em NEUTRAL, pra mim foi a que mais agradou! Fui assistir o filme TRON em 4k audio 5.1 no pc e no celular pelo app do stremio e realmente a qualidade é fenomenal! Audio: Cristalino, e olha que ja tive fone samsung buds e esse é melhor. Bateria: JOGO bastante no CELULAR (bluetooth) e ouço videos no COMPUTADOR e realmente o fone dura as 60h, mesmo com o cancelamento de ruidos ativo. Sua espuma é macia e não aperta demais, nao doi a cabeça, não cai da cabeça mesmo se abaixando pra pegar algo. Qualidade: é plastico, mas de excelente qualidade, e tem tecido na alça do fone, agradável. Sua espuma é revestida em courino, mas vai durar mais de 1 ano com certeza, e depois só comprar uma de veludo e repor no lugar, tem algumas à venda aqui mesmo na amazon brasil. Comprei um transmissor aptx da UGREEN usb-C e é compatível com o momentum 4, funciona maravilhosamente, em filmes DOLBY fica xuxu beleza (gíria brasileira para ótimo). Enfim, agradeço a amazon e ao vendedor addventure pelo excelente produto e entrega rápida (exatamente 1 mês após a compra, mês de dezembro e moro no NORTE do BRASIL)

Da tempo ormai al pc sfrutto le cuffie, soprattutto nelle ore notturne durante il gioco, per non disturbare ed avere una maggiore immersività. Avendo a disposizione un DAC audio di qualità utilizzavo dei modelli a filo, con l'unica pecca che non abbia un selettore dedicato per switchare fra casse e cuffie, il che rendeva un po' scomodo il passaggio. Da quando però ho riconfigurato la mia postazione, il cavo diventa scomodo perchè devo rimuoverlo tutte le volte dopo l'utilizzo o mette disordine sulla scrivania e devo raccoglierlo in un cassetto. Oltretutto dopo l'ultimo modello con i padiglioni rovinati dal tempo avevo preso un paio di Sennheiser HD599 delle quali ho letto bene ma ho riscontrato una qualità bassissima rispetto ad altre di pari costo e che ho prontamente messo in un cassetto e li ci sono rimaste. Ho optato dunque per un modello wireless con cancellazione del rumore e specifiche di livello elevato sulla comunicazione bluetooth. Purtroppo dopo un aggiornamento windows il bluetooth non ha più funzionato in modo efficace, principalmente nella sua funzione comodissima di commutazione del segnale una volta accese le cuffie, dovendo sempre trafficare nelle impostazioni per utilizzarle, cosa ancora più scomoda del filo di prima. Peggio ancora ha inibito la cancellazione dei rumori, la quale si disattiva sempre dopo 3 secondi dall'avvio e senza alcun verso di farla funzionare. Ho provato a risolvere con aggiornamenti e programmi audio, ma la situazione è solo peggiorata, rendendo le cuffie inutili. Ho così deciso di investire un po' di più per questo modello di alto livello con il suo dongle usb per la massima qualità e la situazione è cambiata notevolmente. Innanzitutto sono confortevoli indossate, padiglioni grandi ed archetto morbido. Non si possono ripiegare come altre concorrenti, ma vengono vendute con la loro custodia rigida nella quale si ripongono perfettamente. In dotazione arrivano un paio di cavi e connettori (possono essere usate via cavo) e manuali vari, il tutto nella custodia che funge anche da auto-spegnimento delle cuffie quando riposte, cosa comodissima perchè basta estrarle e si accendono immediatamente connettendosi in un istante. La qualità del suono è ottima, io sfrutto il dongle usb btd600 per i problemi prima elencati con il bluetooth del pc e ogni abbinamento è semplice così come la commutazione dell'audio. I brani in qualità flac e i video con codec ad alta qualità si sentono notevolmente meglio rispetto alle HD599, veramente un altro mondo. Peccato per quel modello in quanto sono una pecca rispetto altri modelli acquistati in precedenza sempre del marchio di cui sono stato pienamente soddisfatto. La cancellazione dei rumori è molto efficace, funziona bene, se pur non è totale e qualcosa di lieve passa comunque (credo che il top si possa solo avere con auricolari in-ear per l'isolamento che intrinsecamente forniscono), ma molto alta e comunque soddisfacente. Utilizzandole principalmente in casa è sufficiente ad isolare dai rumori di aspirapolvere o tv delle altre stanze. Il padiglione destro consente i vari comandi multi-touch semplici ed efficaci, senza dover cercare con le dita microtasti andando a tatto. La ricarica è tramite usbc, veloce e consente ore ed ore di ascolto, quasi da dimenticarsi che siano a batteria! Ovviamente l'ANC consumerà maggiormente energia, ma parliamo comunque di decine di ore senza problemi. Personalmente non le indosso per tante ore consecutive, a parte occasioni sporadiche, ma le trovo molto comode e per nulla pesanti, non fanno sudare le orecchie e in generale le trovo molto confortevoli. Dopo le varie disavventure con il bluetooth del pc, sono quasi contento di averle avute perchè mi hanno convinto a prendere questo modello che pienamente mi soddisfa e sto godendo di una qualità audio eccellente. Connesse al mio mac o all'iPhone funzionano perfettamente (ma anche le precedenti, il problema era solo legato a windows), sullo smartphone poi hanno l'app dedicata per impostare e regolare al meglio come più ci piacciono i suoni. Molto comoda poi la possibilità di un doppio abbinamento bluetooth così da non dover sempre fare la connessione ogni volta che si cambia dispositivo. In definitiva sono pienamente soddisfatto del prodotto, non le ho confrontate con le concorrenti Sony XM5 o addirittura XM6, ma al momento dell'acquisto costavano di più e dalle recensioni si equiparavano con piccole differenze a favore di uno o dell'altro modello, per cui sono rimasto fedele al marchio nonostante lo scivolone di quelle cablate. Ovviamente per il top della qualità audiofila ci sono modelli molto più specifici e costosi, tutti via cavo, ma alla versatilità e comodità di queste non rinuncerei mai, soprattutto utilizzate con tv e console, pc, smartphone, passando da uno all'altro in un attimo.
