Brilliant.
Who is like Nora Ephron? The answer is - no one. That's why these collections of her writing are so precious, funny and above all, true. She is as fierce with her honesty and self revelation, as an executioner is passive about his work. Slice, chop, done. And that's just about her cooking!Read this book, you will not be sorry.

Good but not great
Charming, thought-provoking vignettes full of "Of course" and "She's so right" moments yet somehow good not great. Perhaps it's the scale: Moments musicaux or sonatinas remain mere moments. I need a little more meat on the plate.

This last book of Nora Ephron's was WONDERFUL. I am SO GLAD I bought it
This last book of Nora Ephron's was WONDERFUL. I am SO GLAD I bought it. It is a beautiful and bittersweet read, because she will be missed as a talent on this earth.. so I was sad when I was finished with it. I highly recommend it to anyone who liked or loved her work. Thank you so much for the fast shipping, too.

Heart-warmingly frank and funny
For anyone one of a certain age, like me, the sections of this book about failing memory make one chuckle with recognition over the social embarrassments when you know the face but not the name and the tricks employed to retrieve the buried memory: usually too late to be of use!The author is very frank about her feelings and hurts within her family and friends, but told with guileless good humour that warms one to her as a person. She's certainly had an eventful and interesting life that makes for an entertaining read.I really enjoyed the book.

Loved this book
Loved this book. Nora Ephron's writing is right up my street. Have lent it out a couple of times but always made sure I got it back as I'll probably at some point read it again.

Reread Nora Ephron and miss her again
Nora Ephron's sharp sense of humour is a sub-theme, here. The main theme is her awareness of her rapidly approaching and much too early end. She sees it clearly, softens the vision with a bit of her funny prose, but lets a bit of the mandatory courage show at the end.

HILARIOUS
I wasn't expecting this to be as delightful, funny or utterly truthful as it was. It'll especially appeal to older people as she boldly and entertainingly describes the lighter woes that beset us in later years and makes us laugh along with her at them. The print size and layout is also conducive to making it an enjoyable read--and a fab present for seniors with a sense of humour.

Not as good as "Heartburn" but a good read at bedtime as each episode is only 5 minutes or so.
