the roll on (mine came with the stainless steel ball) is perfect for mosquito bites. this oil is the only one that stops the itch instantly and lasts long enough to allow me to forget :) the application is even and just enough and not have the oil on my fingers (i always forget to wash my hands right after and it's not a good experience when eating finger foods :( BUT i do believe for aches and pain, the massaging the area motion works better (although i hate the new child proof caps. i understand and agree with the need, but i still hate it) if you are like me without children in the house, when you're done with the old stock, SAVE THE REGULAR CAPS!!!
