Quick and easy to clean multiple surfaces in one use.
Works really well. Came well packaged with all parts in working order. Set up was easy. Every part went in easily. The cleaning of the dirty water tank is easy and removing any dog hair or items is easy. The brush is easy to access the whole clear front is removable. There is one small elbow any unseen item can possibly get stuck in, but it is easy to get access to and remove. Air drying the pieces after is recommended and they take about an hour or so to fully dry. I would suggest sticking to the recommended notes from the manufacturer. If you happen to have a need to use it before the brush is fully dry or hasn’t had the system cleaned it can leave dirty water residue behind. But once cleaned and dried it worked perfectly. Area rugs get a nice clean and refresh. Dry time is less than 30 minutes and there is no residue from the cleaner or heavy scent. Only small inconvenience is the water trigger is easy to hit but I believe that is due my newness in operation. It is easy to use and doesn’t leave my arm tired. The cord is nice and long and thick. The dirty water tank holds quite a lot of water. I can clean around 600 sqft before I need to dump my water tank. I have a lot of dust and dirt blowing in my area and my floors must be mopped daily so this makes my day much faster being able to sweep then vacuum/mop my floors and area rugs.

Wow, what an improvement
I've had a Hoover model from yesteryear which is still running strong, but it's seen better days. When this model went on sale, I thought I'd give it a try. I don't need a ton of bells and whistles. I just need a solid machine to clean my floors. It wasn't until this arrived and I cleaned a couple of rooms that I realized what a HUGE improvement in technology this was. From picking up excess water to the effective use of the water it does dispense. When I emptied out the dirty water tank, it was saturated with the dirt it picked up off the floor and I vacuum daily! I had just cleaned the floors the prior day with my old unit. Wow. One of the things I most appreciated is the self cleaning mode of the brush. Huge win! You can replace them like mop heads as well. Perfect! There is literally nothing I don't like about the Crosswave.I do want to mention a couple things regarding some complaints I've read about this unit. Yes, you have to clean it after every use. How is that unreasonable? That's just plain lazy if it's upsetting to anyone. You empty the dirty tank. You rinse off all the hair, grime and dirt left clinging to parts and if the filter is doing its job, it's going to get dirty and you'll want to replace it eventually. This machine has a self-cleaning button that literally cleans the brush head for you after your cleaning session is complete. How amazing and convenient! You can't just walk away from it like a robotic, self emptying robot. I've tried those and they are not even close to being effective. The technology has a very long way to go to meet the cleaning quality of this Bissell. It's also not meant for carpets, so please don't have unrealistic expectations. Don't expect it to perform like a carpet cleaner or a dedicated vacuum cleaner. It's meant to do one thing and it does it really well. It cleans hard floors squeaky clean.I have a robotic vacuum that runs on a daily schedule. It gets rid of the majority of dog hair, dust and dirt that gets trailed in from going in and out of the house. By adding this once a week to the routine, my floors are clean enough to eat off of. If you're not keeping your floors fairly clean throughout the week, don't expect this unit to become an industrial cleaner. That's not what it's meant for. I especially love how easy it is to maneuver as well as how little water it uses for being as effective as it is. I've just recently edited this review since my purchase several weeks ago and I'm still sticking to the 5 stars. It's my new favorite appliance in the house.

Very Loud, but is a great machine!
Works great, dries quickly, lightweight, easy to use, removes hard-to-get spots really well too!! The only reason for four stars is because the machine itself is REALLY LOUD! Like surprisingly loud.If there were a way to turn down the sound, it would be perfect!

Love it despite a couple design flaws
Absolutely love the convenience of this item. It is a huge time saver by doing both the vacuuming and mopping at the same time. It works well and does a much better job than using a sponge mop. A once over with the Crosswave and the floor was as clean as when I scrub it with a brush - with far less effort. I am so glad I purchased it. I have 4 dogs, so dog hair is always an issue. I know there is a pet model, but I have not had any problem with this one handling the dog hair and bigger pieces of debris that they bring in.There are a couple things I'd like to see the developers improve upon in a future model.1. Having the freshwater tank on the back of the handle makes the handle very heavy when it's full. I'd rather see the fresh water on the front of the machine for better balance.2. The brush head is too light. I've found if you use the Crosswave like a normal vacuum, the front end is too light and when you extend your arm forward, the front of the brush head lifts off the floor. I'd like to see some weight to the brush head so that you can push it forward like a regular vacuum. I have been able to adapt by making shorter passes and keeping my arm lower to the ground when extending it farther out (such as under a table), but it can be uncomfortable.3. I would like the brush to get closer to the wall. I have noticed that it leaves about a 2-inch gap between the wall and the wet area from the mop when running it parallel to the wall. This is unfortunate as plenty of debris and dirt gets along my walls. I did find that if you go straight towards the wall (perpendicular) you can get a lot closer - which brings me to point 4.4. Better swivel of the brush head. Once I figured out that I needed to go perpendicular to the wall to get a better clean, I found that in close spaces (such as a hallway), the swivel where the handle attaches to the brush head was not as much as I would like. My vacuum has much better swivel, so that I can stand off to the side and run the brush at a sharp angle. An improvement in this area would make the machine much more comfortable to use when in tight spots.Overall, despite these few things I think could be improved upon, I love the machine and find it saves significant time and gets the floor cleaner than the mop. I highly recommend and have told all my friends!
