Very well made, great looking axe.
First impressions are very good. Well made handle. Axe head is thick all the way to the edge of the blade. Blade is sharp, but not too sharp, just right for an axe. Metal seems good quality. I have not used it yet, but will be extremely surprised if it does not function as well as it looks. Sheath is well made.

Valid
I don't know who makes this thing, but I know a good product when I get it in my hands. After approx. 25yrs field exp. I finally came to hard terms with what I want from a camp/ field hatchet, determined the specs, and eventually cared enough to see if this world offers anything like what I want. Well, this hatchet is it. Akin to a Norse bearded axe, this hatchet has the blade size & design, and overall length within my 14-16" range that I've been looking for. I'd spew hate if this was a bad deal - but it's actually a fine quality tool and an absurdly good deal. Human history took 6k years to finally make this axe. 'Nuff said. I'm pleased.

Solid, Reliable, and Sharp Right Out of the Box
This 15.7" hand-forged hatchet exceeded my expectations. The craftsmanship is excellent — the beech handle feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand, and the axe head is well-balanced and razor sharp. I’ve used it for splitting kindling, light carving, and even some bushcraft work, and it’s held up beautifully. The included sheath is a nice touch and makes it easy to carry safely. Great value for the quality — definitely recommend for campers, hikers, or anyone needing a versatile outdoor axe.

Handle is loose
This is a cast bearded axe, that is delivered reasonably sharp. The handle fitment (as pictured) was pretty miserable, but by banging the grip on the ground a few times, I was able to get it tightened up so it wasn't wobbling around. You then have to cut the excess off, saw the wedge groove, rehammer the glued wedge, drive one of the locking wedges, and trim\hammer the exposed wood. The hatchet is comparatively heavy, especially with a shorter handle. As a bearded fitting axe it works exceptionally well. I purchased 2, and put a 22" handle on the other, which makes a nice sized camp axe. Overall I'm pretty happy with it for the price. The edge is hard and fairly sharp. The pleather sheath is too embarrassing to use, but I wouldn't carry a 2.5# axe on the belt anyway

Seems well made
Hatchet head comes with a hammered finish. The blade edge is polished to a mirror shine but is NOT sharp. It did come with a nice size stone to sharpen the blade with. After spending about an hour sharpening with the provided stone I was able to get it sharp enough to shave with. Then I split a good sized pile of red oak. The blade was still sharp enough to cut through a piece of paper all the way through in slices. I’d say it’s really good, hard metal and will hold its edge for a long time. I’m happy with purchase. If you want a hatchet for splitting all your wood… get a bigger axe. But if you just want something for camping or for kindling this is for you.

Perfect for my needs
I recently picked up the 15.7” Hatchet Axe for camping, and it’s been great! The hand-forged blade is sharp and handles chopping, splitting, and even carving with ease. The beech handle is comfortable and sturdy, making it easy to use for extended periods. It also comes with a handy sheath for safe storage. I’ve used it for everything from bushcraft to garden work, and it’s performed well every time. Pros: Sharp, durable, comfortable handle, great for multiple tasks. Cons: A little heavy for beginners, needs occasional maintenance. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable hatchet for anyone who spends time outdoors. Highly recommend!

Nice balance
If you’re looking for a solid camping axe, this one is definitely worth considering. I brought it on a trip last week, and it was a game-changer for chopping firewood. The blade is sharp and cuts through logs with ease, and the balance makes every swing feel smooth and controlled. It has a sturdy wooden handle that feels comfortable to hold, and the craftsmanship gives it that rugged, reliable feel. One thing I really appreciate is the leather sheath—it’s a nice touch that keeps the blade protected when not in use. After putting it to good use, I can say it’s built to last. Whether you need it for camping, bushcraft, or just prepping firewood, this axe won’t let you down. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants a dependable tool for the outdoors!

Axehead came loose
Axehead came loose, risky to use. The build quality is great, and the real wood handle is really nice, but my particular hatchet came with a loose axehead. I have tested it and it does still work, but it wears down the wood and can potentially fall off in the future, so it is not very effective. Edit: thankfully product support reached out to me, and I was able to get a full refund.

Awesome hatchet!
Was a little hesitant because of the price, but wow, this thing is gorgeous. Handle is smooth and polished, with a nice shine to it. Solid weight, great balance—just holding it feels good. The leather sheath is also top-notch—great quality, well-made, and adds a premium touch. I got to split some firewood. Oh man, it’s really sharp! Slices through wood like butter, no struggle at all. Super satisfying to use. Can’t wait to take it camping this summer. Definitely a great buy!
