An unreliable microphone that I'm tired of wasting money on
This is my second Rode NT1 the first lasted me a few years and then suddenly gave out mid livestream. I've used this microphone a total of 5 times, today I was setting up for a video and randomly the signal went weak while plugged into my audio interface. The first one great, lasted me a year, but £150 for a year... and this one £150 for 5 uses. Nahh mate. What a joke of a product. The sound quality is excellent for the price you pay, but in no way shape or form should a microphone go weak and fail randomly. I plugged it into my audio interface, turned on phantom power, slowly raised the gain, and got 5 minutes of it working and then it was gone. I won't be buying another one. What a joke.

nice for home recording
this mic looks sexy, and come with great accessories in the box. i've found it great for home recordings of my accoustic guitar and vocals. Its no good for live band practice as the mic picks up too much sound around it and feeds back. - stick to a 58 for that. Build quality is great, and you sound quality is top notch which is to be expected by an Australian made Rode mic.
