This product smells amazing and fresh. I did not get bitten at all when using this and I’m around horses and in stables in the summer so this has really helped me. I now no longer go home covered in red bites. Great ingredients and this smell is fantastic

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this product really deserves one. I can’t recommend it highly enough. I’ve travelled to Thailand several times and have always been constantly bitten by mosquitoes. I’ve tried countless repellents over the years, but nothing ever seemed to work, so I’d honestly given up hope—especially with an upcoming trip to Bali. After doing some research into what mosquitoes dislike, I came across this product and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. During our entire holiday, I got just one single mosquito bite. We used this repellent every day and even sprayed it around the entry points of our hotel room. Maybe it was a coincidence, or perhaps the mosquitoes weren’t as bad in Bali—but I genuinely believe this product made the difference. I’ll definitely be using it again and would absolutely recommend it to others.

This smell is overpowering. Its like dipping your entire body in citronella candle wax, then tossing on a bottle of citronella oil then rolling around in a bed of lemongrass for good measure. Whats funny is that I am not exaggerating at all. Its crazy strong! There's another review where the reviewer was asked to leave a group... at an outdoor party. That's not a joke. I can absolutely see someone asking me that if I was in a group of people when I first tried this stuff. I could smell it on me 18 hours later. It worked and I didn't get bitten the one time I tried it then went outdoors so it gets 4 stars, but it comes with an odoriferous price. You know, I even like Citronella. Its not a terrible smell. But I would never willing dump a bottle of it on my person and that's what spraying this stuff on your body is like. Citronella with a hint of mint.. or, something. I think its a love or hate kind of thing I guess. I see many glowing reviews and then many 1 star reviews. I also believe that the smell reacts with your body odor the same way cologne or perfume does. As you may know what you think smells great at the department store may not smell good on your particular body. It might be fine on someone else's body but they don't all work for all body chemistries. I think this must have a similar reaction somehow, or maybe some people are much more scent sensitive. Or perhaps its the "Citriodiol" chemical itself that some people react negatively to. I don't know. What I do know is that you should try to smell this yourself before buying it. If you want safe and scent free option try Sawyers 20% picaridin as its almost odorless. I really want to love this product but I can't see myself using it after the one single application I tried. It just smells much too strong. Maybe I'll give it another shot just to see if I can get used to it. If you're on a long hike, or thru hiking the AT this might be a perfect repellent. It would mask your own stench quite well I would imagine (which is a problem for thru hikers). For that fact 1*, and the fact that it works so well 1*, its natural 1* and its not DEET 1* it gets 4 stars total. If I had to choose between DEET or this I would choose Repel Lemon Eucalyptus.
