And if you are traveling, they are chock full of excellent advice. We booked a couple lodging sites noted in his books and were extremely pleased. We also were able to discover a few hidden gems we would not have seen otherwise. And the culture tips helped us connect to the people we met and to travel responsibly and respectfully. Well worth the investment. Review: Amazing wealth of information. - This book really helped a lot when planning our trip to Europe. So much, I didn't know about and language information. Rick Steves has put a wealth of information together in this one book for the countries that it covers. From buying tickets to attractions and when, places to eat, and how to say the most simple phrases in the different languages helped me so much. If you are going to France, Italy, Germany, or Amsterdam this is the book for you
