Purchased two 24-count packages of Irish Spring Men's Deodorant Soap, for a total of 48 bars. At the time, I believed I was making a financially responsible decision. Bulk pricing, excellent shelf life, dependable cleansing performance. What could possibly go wrong? Five years later, I still have soap. Unfortunately, I may soon no longer have a wife. You see, my wife apparently wanted fancy soap. Artisanal soap. Soap that smells like lavender fields and emotional fulfillment. Unbeknownst to me, my extensive Irish Spring inventory had created an oppressive atmosphere in which purchasing alternative soap felt unnecessary, wasteful, or somehow forbidden. I never explicitly prohibited the purchase of other soaps. I simply maintained sufficient inventory to meet the hygiene needs of a small military installation. In hindsight, this may have communicated the wrong message. My wife recently informed me that she never felt free to buy the soap she actually wanted. I have since purchased her fancy soap in an attempt to address this historical injustice. The divorce, however, appears to be proceeding as scheduled. Pros: Excellent value for money. Cleans effectively. Five-year supply apparently achievable. Inventory has outlasted several major life milestones. Product remains available despite catastrophic changes in household structure. Cons: May inadvertently establish a household soap monopoly. Wife may interpret bulk purchasing as a lifelong commitment to mediocre hygiene products. Potentially devastating impact on marital satisfaction. Extremely difficult to explain to a divorce mediator. Final verdict: Would absolutely recommend for bachelors, military barracks, and emergency preparedness enthusiasts. Married customers should exercise extreme caution. Five stars for longevity. One star for relationship compatibility. TL;DR: Came for the savings. Stayed for the soap. Wife did not.

This was the best deal I found for original Irish Spring bar soap, but be sure to check prices. I got two dozen of the normal size bars for $16.16, an amazing 67 cents/bar! But three days after I placed the order, here I am opening the package and writing the review and price has jumped to $21.25. That's less than 89¢/bar, but a significantly increased price over my 67¢ price. So do your due diligence. I also just price-checked my local national supermarket and OMG they're offering an 8-pack on sale at 66¢/bar! Ugh! When I had checked previously, I couldn't touch this 24-pack's per-bar price. Oh well. My wife and I both have enjoyed Irish Spring bar soap for years, so I figured we'd use up a 24-pack in a few (4-5?) years. If I had known I could get the same deal locally for a smaller package, I'd have done that. The original Irish Spring has long been my favorite bar soap. It treats my skin well, is gentle enough, cleans effectively, and doesn't overly dry out my skin. It's a perfect size, easy to use in the shower, and I like the curved shape.

I looked up Sucker in the dictionary. It said, "someone who spends six dollars on one bar of soap." Irish Spring gets it done and the price is right. Plus, studies show that the luck of the Irish rubs off on you with every shower. I'm part Irish on my father's side, and I use Irish Spring to smell like an Irishman. Kidding aside, yes, I do actually like the scent, I like the soap, I like the price point. Nothing to complain about. My wife and I (yes, she uses it too, because since when did soap become segregated?) have been buying it for years.

You know what you're getting. Great lather; keeps me feeling clean and fresh all day. Quality is consistently good, and it's cheaper than most fancy soaps. Stocked up on these.

Irish spring wow what a bar soap, smooth, silky, even smells fresh took all the dirt off of me and I do lawn grass and everything else so you know I get dirty but when I took a shower with Irish spring, it was terrific. It woke me up and I was tired. I love Irish spring. I’ll give it a 10 stars. take care. thank you, Irish spring.

The best soap for keeping you fresh and clean during the warmer weather. Had no idea they had something larger than the 20 bar pack. Comes in several 3 bar packs to make the 24.
