We've been using the Selkirk Pro S1 balls for a few weeks now on our outdoor courts, and I can honestly say that they are the best balls we have used so far in the 3 years of playing pickleball. We started off using the gamma outdoor ball, which was pretty soft and they didn't last long. Probably better for indoor use. Then we progressed to the Franklin x40 which were better, however they are prone to crack quickly after only 3-4 hours of play, especially in cold conditions. Again these are probably better indoors. After that we tried the ProKennex balls, and the which lasted longer, but felt 'heavy' on paddle and didn't bounce up as high. These also don't 'hang' in the air as long as the others, so suit a lobbing game. Dinking is consistent, but again they feel heavy on the paddel. The Selkirk is just as good as the ProKennex, however they bounce constantly better, glide through the air better, and take spin well. Dinking is challenging, as they can pop up because of the extra bounce, but they will help tighten up you game. Over all, the best balls yet. Also, so far no breaks, however the balls do look battered for constant play! If you're ordering for a club, order 100 balls, and they will probably last for a couple of years.

Balls play great, but within 4 two hour sessions, one of the balls has already cracked, when the packaging states that there is a one year guarantee of the balls not cracking. The others are still doing fine, so maybe it's one defective ball. I wanted to contact the seller to get one ball replaced rather than returning them all, but that wasn't an option, hence the review. The other 11 balls are doing fine to date...

These Selkirk Pro S1 pickleballs have exceeded my expectations. The 38-hole design provides consistent flight patterns and excellent aerodynamics during play.
