Q: Does this crock pot contain lead and/or come with a Prop 65 warning for California?

I just became aware that lead is a problem in these crocks. I just had mine tested with an XRF gun and the result was 28ppm. I believe that is not a safe level... I'm sending mine back. I don't know if it came with a prop 65 warning b/c I already threw away all of the packaging.

Q: Does the lid HAVE to get locked/unlocked every time you put it on and take it off? Or is locking the lid on optional?

I believe it should be locked on each time but I don't suppose you would have to lock it. I like that feature as it provides a good seal to keep heat in.

Q: What is the highest temperature it reaches at Low, High and Warm settings?

The keep warm setting is approximately 165 - 170 degrees F. Both the low & high settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking.
