I've used spikey balls for years to release the bound-up facia / tissue that leads to trigger point pain. I have some larger red ones that have a little more give, but honestly, I prefer these that are a little smaller and quite a bit firmer. It makes the task of working on pain point more efficient. I also like that these came in a little velour bag with long strings, making the task of moving them easier, if I'm using both at the same time in the same vicinity. My body worker had introduced them to me so that I could work on myself at home between sessions. She would tell me to start at the trigger point area, wait until it burns, and then until the burn subsides, then move the ball 1/4-1/2" to work it from a different angle. She also would say, "You have to follow the line, you have to follow the whole d@m line!" in reference to the referral pain patterns. Good luck!

These are exactly what I was looking for. They are hard plastic and the only thing that works for massaging out various pain in my back, hips and neck. It definitely takes some getting used to at first. I usually lay on carpeted floor, place the ball directly over the pain and either push down for 10-20 sec or rock gently. I repeat 1-3 times a day until pain goes away, this usually takes 1-3 days and doesn't come back for months or until I do something to aggravate the area. I think these should be in every household!

The product is solid, the question is for how long. I was going to purchase 10 sets at first then decided it may not have a film on the outside preventing it from eventually breaking apart. They seem solid; however, I wouldn't sell it to my clients just yet. The case is functional for use around the body & holding the balls in place. The draw string is sturdy enough. The only CON for me as a Bodyworker for potential resale is the lack of film or protective coating.

I like these tools. I am a licensed massage therapist, sometimes it's hard for me to get massages for myself when I need one. I have one of these that is larger but these trigger point balls help me when I need a smaller tool to work on a smaller area of the body. You can also use these if you have Plantar Fasciitis problems. The spikey points of the ball break up the fascia that creates the pain. Very easy to use and very useful.

The balls turned out to be very hard, not soft like the usual lymphatic massage balls. They came in a case with very long strings, which made it impossible to fasten and use properly. For those looking for hard balls, this is an excellent price/quality combination. I’m rating this product 3 out of 5 stars.
