These are exactly as advertised. You get about 1 hour of battery out of them, but all of my cameras overheat.Either I spend several thousand on new cameras or I buy a few of these bad boys and let my cameras roll.They do make some noise, but the spring keeps them in place.They can charge while in use, and the work exactly as advertise.Amazing product from Ulanzi!

One of the pictures for this product advertise “silent cooling” for Mode 1… I definitely wouldn’t use the word “silent” lol. At the moment, that is the only drawback to this product. In my opinion, there’s really not a noticeable difference with sound between Mode 1 and Mode 2, however, there is a pretty big difference once you turn it On. Won’t be ideal to use along with internal camera microphone on either mode.Being battery powered is definitely awesome , not many out there I’ve come across offer that. This comes with a usb - usb-c cord to charge.It’s definitely light weight and fits the a7 iv well. I shook the camera a good amount and it didn’t fall out so that makes me feel confident about it being secure. That may change over time with the use of the springs but can’t say for sure.It doesn’t seem like it’ll cause any vibration to the camera but I haven’t personally tested that. Another reviewer said they tested that and they noticed no vibration being introduced to the camera, which is a plus!It’s plastic but still feels pretty sturdy. Of course this could be better but I’m it’s to keep cost and weight down. Price for this is fair too, rather competitive towards other options overall happy with the price and product just wish it wasn’t as loud. I’d rather deal with that than the camera overheating and not being able to record anything though so it’s acceptable. If the sound level isn’t a concern to you though then there’s really no reason to not get this.

The battery does last to long as I wanted but it worked really good

I cannot stress how useful this little fan is for my needs. I do full concert videos and my a6700 lacks the internal cooling of an FX30/FX3 - without this fan I would usually overheat after 25-30 minutes but with this thing on the low setting I can shoot for over an hour without any spike in temperature.The little display that tells you the temperature is very useful, mainly to let you know if you need to turn it up to the high speed - so far I have not. Also worth noting that if you keep it plugged in with USB-C, the battery does not drop at all and you can shoot for as long as you'd like.I cannot speak to the volume of the fan since I have my camera's mic turned down to one of the lowest settings but it doesn't seem very loud. and this new design they switched to seems to keep vibrations under control as well. This is easy one of the most must-own items for anyone who is doing long-form video with a modern DSLR or mirrorless camera.

I wouldn't say its particularly effective at cooling, but does ok. I like the new design for easily clipping it into place, but I wouldn't say its all that secure. My biggest gripe is actually that the battery is extremely small and only powers the fan for about 15 minutes. When shooting on an 8 hour day that really doesn't help me a whole lot. Really wish sony just didn't make cameras with atrocious heat management.

purchased to help use my a7iv as a B-cam to my fx3. for long term shooting the a7iv tends to overheat after a while due to the lack of a cooling fan, and that where this product comes in. easy to instal. it charges using the usb c, and gives you the temparture of the camera overall worth the $$$
