Needed for the Pi to show that it is getting enough power
Was using a lenovo laptop charger and the Pi 5 wasn't negotiating the right power. This power supply did the trick.

Not a 5V/5A adapter
Does not provide enough power to support all peripherals. Returned the next day! You should be fine with an SD card-only setup with Pi 5 and no peripherals, actually, any adapter should be fine.
