Absolutely beautiful
Purchased this and was super excited to make it into “The Pink Palace.” (Coraline house) I can say it was perfect. The instructions were a little confusing at the beginning and it seemed flimsy but once you start connecting everything it came together beautifully!

Not sure this was worth it...
First of all, it is close to impossible to decipher the instructions: mostly Chinese characters, poor translations, and none of the pieces were numbered, and the photo of the house is only for one side/perspective (so not helpful in trying to figure out how this goes together.) The pieces are not cut properly so it's very hard to make anything fit- it even says to sand and use glue, so I suppose the manufacturer understands that this is subpar quality. Punching out the pieces means cracking and chipping, which makes everything even harder to fit together. Hoping a coat of paint will act as glue and hide all the ugly bits that broke off. I read the reviews and was hopeful that I could make the best of it...but it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for, and I absolutely got that. Better off spending more to get a quality item.

Fun to put together, not for beginners
I loved putting this together but it is definitely not for beginners. The instructions are a simple picture with no instructions of actually how to do it. I had to watch videos online to figure that out. The pieces don't always fit together the best, either. You need a craft knife, craft glue, sandpaper and a lot of patience. Paint your pieces before putting together, too.

Nice project, poor instructions
This is a really fun project. The instructions are minimal, but there is a great video tutorial if you search for "gothic dollhouse tutorial." Some tips: Make sure to have on hand: (1) an exacto knife; (2) some wood glue; and (3) some sand paper (ours didn't come with any). Also, if you are going to paint your dollhouse, it is best to paint the pieces before you've assembled them, but do NOT paint them before you punch them out of the boards. We learned the hard way that painting them makes it very hard to punch them out without breaking them. Also, make sure you do not get paint into the holes or on the tabs, because the paint makes it very hard to put together, and you'll spend a lot more time sanding the tabs down and cutting them with exacto knives. Otherwise, this was a lot of fun, and our 4-year-old got really into building it with us (adult assistance is definitely required).

Instructions
Instructions are hard to comprehend, it's difficult to puzzle the pieces, not really easy to assemble with the instructions provided.

Made mine into a Christmas House
I decided to use this as Christmas themed house. I’m going to make several houses to display for Christmas season. This was a great kit and I made a few tiny modifications- I used wood glue for assembling and trimmed off the locking pieces that stuck out on the roof and underside of base floor. The pieces fit together well. I had a lot of fun with the endless details I continue adding to decorate this house. I added some fairy string lights for a nice lighting effect. I am working on another kit from this seller now- I would definitely recommend!

The Cutest Dollhouse DIY
This dollhouse was very easy to build.I enjoyed putting it together. It is a very cute house. The furniture was harder to assemble. The lock time design is very sturdy. Not wobbly at all.I painted the round window frames purple and dormer frame and all 6 of the half round bay windows.I left the rest the all natural wood.Very contrasting.I am almost finished with the roof left to assemble.I love it!

Sadly. Not a great purchase
When I was a child. My father got me a dollhouse similar to this. We made it together. Tiled the floors. Painted the walls and wallpaper in the kitchen. It was an amazing bonding thing for me. Nostalgic. I had hoped to recreate this with my granddaughter. But this product is rather cheap. When you take the pieces apart they fall apart. Not sturdy at all. The wood Is so thin and frail that it flakes apart while your trying to piece it together. I didn't want to make this review. But others should know it's very cheaply made. And the instructions are not useful at all

There are no lights or DIY kits, only the wooden house and furniture. This matches the pictures but not the title or description.
