I'm long-term dog-sitting for a friend's Chi-apso (might weigh 5 lbs. soaking wet with a full belly!) His little teeth are in rough shape, so I add a little water to a good quality dry food fur toy breeds, then I add a couple spoonfuls of this & mix or all up. It makes it easier for him to eat & he's a lot more interested with the wet food added on. One tub lasts 3 to 5 days (when used with the dry food) - it varies a lot as his appetite is very erratic. I like that these have a lid so I can put them on the fridge without using a container, foil or a specialty lid (that can never be found!). This also doesn't have that traditional bad smell a lot of canned dog foods have. Even if it's been opened for a few days. Great price compared to grocery stores - most varieties are kissy over $8/8-pk.

When my small Chihuahua turned 15yrs old and the vet had to pull her teeth, he said she could still eat dry food for small dogs but she liked starting the day with wet. The 3oz individuals for small dogs are more expensive than this 10z tub of Beneful which is just as easy to serve. Depending on the flavor chosen, I'll sometimes use kitchen shears to make sure it's easier for her to eat. She never chokes on it and has been happy eating it the last two years.

Dogs love Beneful. I wanted this color lid but I got a blue one. Only disappointment.

I love this product for my 15 year old Shih Tzu. It's less expensive than purchasing at my local supermarket.
