Garbage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two of the four units that I installed at separate locations all failed within one month. For every person who rated these well, may I ask how long each of the devices have been in service for you?The remaining two access points simply stopped working after two days. One of the power adapters simply stopped working. The connector cable from the outside of the box to the inside had to be removed on another access point that was 1 day old.As a note, I've installed thousands of these types of access points over the last 20 years. These are by far the worst wireless access points that I have ever purchased.

Works well and good support
Pretty fun product. It covers many acres, in fact my entire little rural valley. My POE run is 175 feet (53 m). It comes with a 24 volt/1A POE power supply whose jacks support shielded Ethernet cable. Especially if you have frequent thunderstorms, shielded cabling is recommended for ESD (Electrostatic Discharge Protection). The system has such low power consumption that I had trouble measuring it with a Kill A Watt power meter. Seems to be in the range of 2 watts. Dunno how it does so much with such low energy input. One advantage is very low IR drop on the POE cable. Another is that in an expensive electricity state like California, the annual usage will be only a few dollars. The range is greatly amplified by 2 apparently excellent 8 db gain vertical antennas. The weather proofing appears excellent. The RJ connector closure at the bottom is a very good seal and is designed to allow for passage of the RJ45 plug, which is convenient. A physical reset button is also on the bottom. In many install cases, you could actually actuate that with a pole from below without taking it down if you had to.I modified the antennas so birds would stop perching on them and crapping all over the unit. You can see that easy mod in the images. It solved the problem. In both the horizontal and vertical planes, the gain antenna pair naturally does not have a perfectly smooth coverage pattern. There are peaks and nulls. Using a strength indicator app, you may need to aim the unit (azimuth) in the horizontal plane for your situation. Also, the radiation is maximum at the level of the antennas, so if you put it up too high, you will lose signal strength. Mine is mounted up high to deliberately extend the coverage in my valley, but this does reduce the data speed in my house immediately below.Customer support is extremely attentive. You're dealing direct with China, but they get the product to you quickly. If there's a problem and it has to be exchanged, they have a US address for returns and will ship replacements by UPS air express, which takes just 2 or 3 days. So it's pretty much like buying stateside.

Industrial Strength Outdoor WiFi Access Point
Replaced my TP Link EAP-225 Outdoor with this unit. From the same mounting location, the internet speed by the river (2.3 acres away from the AP) is now an average of 48Mbs Down and 12Mbs Up with very solid connection. Before I had 11 Down and 5 Up (speedtest.net) with very intermittent connection.. Setup is straightforward if you follow the insert. The instructions are for Windows. For the Mac 1) Select the new wireless network "Wireless 2.4G" and join it with the default password on the insert. 2) Select Network Preferences from the WiFi signal indicator and choose Advanced / TCPIP. 3) Manually set an IP address in the 192.168.188.0/24 block (for example 192.168.188.90). Now you can connect to the web interface at 192.168.188.253.If you change the WAN to DHCP from Gateway using the Network/WAN setting the web interface address will change to the new DHCP address. If you are not in China be sure to change the country settings from the default China so you get the appropriate frequencies, change your time zone if needed; and turn off Telnet, it is on by default. Did not need to use tech support yet but they seem to be very active here on Amazon. This is one heavy duty unit with a well sealed case that comes with everything you will need to mount it.

Too hard to set up
Too hard to set up. I messed with it for. Many hours and had no luck. I’ve set up other networks and this one just didn’t work out. Which is really frustrating
