The audio quality out of these is superb. I have paid three times as much for speakers that didn’t sound as good. With the right head unit these also produce plenty of bass if that matters.

Popped these in door of 2019 Ram 1500. Wasn’t a perfect fit but it worked. Speakers sound great. Pretty good value. I would buy again.

Old speakers: Open circuit (dead)I installed these Kenwood 6x9" speakers in the rear of my old 97 Bonneville. They were slightly too large for the mounting trays on the rear deck so I had to enlarge slightly with my Dremel grinder. Had to remove about 1/8" in the corners and then about a 1/16" around the rest of the opening. Took me about 30 minutes of grinding this plastic material using a metal grinding bit. The old Delco speakers were 10 ohms so I searched for 8 ohm speakers which are very hard to find in 6x9, so I ended up buying these Kenwood 4 ohm speakers. Also, since all they give you is a little pigtail wire off the speakers, I had to do some soldering and crimping after cutting off the old connectors in the trunk. Being an electronics guy, I didn't want to take the chance of overloading (possibly frying) the audio amplifier so I installed a 4 ohm resistor (purchased here at Amazon) in series (now 8 ohm load) to approximate the old loads. The amplifier probably could have handled 4 ohms, but I didn't want to take a chance since I had no specs on it. And... you will notice on the speakers that I added the fiber cushioning gasket which I removed from my old speakers with a razor blade. If you're installing these on a metal surface, I would definitely recommend putting some sort of spacer cushion like these on the speakers to avoid any rattle or unwanted vibrations.So how does it sound? Very good! Good medium-low bass and crisp higher frequencies. It was more work than thought it would be but ya, it was worth it.

Great sound , great fit, cool design of the speaker and grill cover, and a deal with the price ! Obvious improvement over the stock speakers of a car , the clarity gain and power potential lies within the limits of your vehicle radio system. Work great, took little to no modifications to fit them into my 2009 corolla. Sound even better. A nice sound that geats loud and isn't harsh sounding.

Better than infinity

I replace the front door OEM speakers from my 2017 Ford Explorer with this ones and the improvement in sound was from land to heaven, even without the need of an after market amplifier (although in case needed it will withstand it, at least a 200 x 4 channels). Fully recommended!!! Only thing is that one has to separately buy both the speaker connectors and the spacers (speaker frames) from "METRA".

I bought these speakers to build a semi-portable sound system for events and after 1.5 months of heavy use I am EXTREMELY happy with the result.I mounted the speaker in a 1 foot diameter, 1.5 foot long cylindrical enclosure. In the rear I added a 1 foot long, 3 inch diameter port made from abs tubing. The speaker is run off of a 70Ah lead acid battery which drives it through a 1200w automotive amplifier.With this setup the speaker has consistently provided excellent sound quality at high volumes for hours at a time. With the case dimensions listed it has clear highs and mids while the large driver and port produce enough bass to rattle the windows of a house without noticeable distortion. I have the case and port tuned to approximately 40Hz and so far it feels like the perfect way to get the most out of the speaker. From the moment I turned it on it has always provided fantastic sound quality for the price, however after about 2 weeks of daily use the speaker felt like it was finally broken in and the sound became even deeper with even less distortion at high volumes.

Ich habe dieses LS in einem Skoda Fabia auf die Heckablage verbaut. Als Radio habe ich das Kenwood DPX 7200DAB. Ich bin vom Klang sehr begeistert, es gibt nichts zu bemängeln, wenn man die richtigen Einstellungen verwendet. Klare Kaufempfehlung !!
