working well despite being cheap , I am surprised how well it works and is as good as my previous expensive cameras

Very happy with this camera

Bought this to replace a 3 year old eufy floodlight cam that started strobing at night. This feels fairly cheap and quite light but that's okay. Installation was easy and had it connected to my powered ethernet router in just a few minutes. Connecting to my phone using the annke vision app was just as simple and after scanning the barcode and creating an account, it was up and running. There'd plenty of setting to go through and work out. I have played about with sensitivity a fair few times and it does seem to pick up moving shadows from nearby trees more often than I'd like so i don't reckon much of the AI rubbish but better than it not detecting at all. Once the sensitivity is worked out I'd say its pretty good. Quality during both day and night is very similar to rhe eufy and opening the app to live few the feed takes a similar small amount of time depending on my phone reception. The app is okay. In portrait view the live feed isn't scaled correctly and gets squashed until turned to landscape. Overall it's not quite as good as the eufy when it worked but i can't trust that company if they make things thay won't last more than a few years without breaking.

The video I've uploaded, of me, is on a medium setting. It still has fair lot of visual and audio details. Its length is 1min 25secs giving a file size of 1.67MB. On the highest setting manual zooming picks up amazing detail. 1min 01sec on the highest setting created a file size of 31.38MB. On the highest setting I had to download a different app to view the videos as it required different video codec for viewing. The night vision turns on automatically and picks up just as much detail depending on setting. There are several ways to setup/install the camera. Mine it connected directly into the modem. I lost the instructions for camera but thankfully the official site has a PDF available to download. The hardware and software are a great bundle. It's nice not having to pay to subscription to get the best from a camera. Its responds fast at picking up motion and notifying my phone. Thank you

This review is for the ANNKE C1200 Bullet-shaped camera. This is an excellent high quality security camera - you can see the effect of the UltraHD 12MP camera straight away; the big high resolution camera means crystal clear images. Quality does degrade the further away a person or vehicle is (but this is common with all digital cameras - and the higher resolution means this degradation is less). The quality is much better than my HD Video doorbell, and can see clearer for much further. For installation, the camera will need to be mounted to a wall or ceiling (there is no option to rest it on a base atop a cupboard for example). But installation is easy - a drill template is included to help guide where to drill holes, and wood screws with rawl plugs are included for wood or masonry mounting. Once installed, the position is fixed (there is a ball-socket joint that allows for final positioning) but cannot be remotely moved after installation. The most practical way to view the footage is to install the Annke Vision app from the app store on your mobile (or from their website's download centre for a PC-based version. It's not the most user-friendly, but take a bit of time and you'll work out how to review footage and the timeline where a recording has happened. Built-in to the camera, behind a screwed-in panel is the option to install a Micro SD card - useful if you want a backup if internet is down when footage is recorded. There are two ways to power the camera; 12v DC power adaptor (frustratingly, not provided), and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) network connection. A short 1m cable is provided. And waterproof cable shields are included to keep the connection water tight. The camera isn't wifi enabled, so you'll need to connect to ethernet if you want remote access. If you don't have internet, you'll need to return to the camera intermittently to swap the SD card when it fills up. Overall, I was really impressed by the quality of the camera, and the night-time modes were far clearer than of my existing security cameras. I found the person and vehicle detection pretty good for the most part too. It's frustrating that the DC Power adaptor wasn't included as finding one with a long enough power cable is a nuisance. But that shouldn't detract from what is otherwise a great camera.
