Amazing alternate for multiple GPU mining!
This is surprisingly one of the greatest solutions to adding multiple GPUs on the game motherboard for mining. The heatsink included also assists to keep the card from overheating. This does NOT include USB 3.0 cords, nor the PCIe x16 external docks which you'll have to get separately. Even still this was such an amazing alternate solution, I haven't used it for long yet but so far all 4 cards work quite effortlessly!

Works great, when the motherboard likes them.
I bought these to expand my capacity for mining on several rigs. 100% of them worked, but not all motherboards like them. I had some motherboards that would not function with one plugged into any slot, some would tolerate one, some could handle two, but I did not have any that worked with three or more yet which was my intent. Most of the boards I tested these with were 2016-2019 age range so you may have much better luck with newer chipsets.

If you mine - buy THIS one. Best PCI-E 1-4 Adapter on Amazon as of June 2021
I purchased one of these and competitor's adapters. This one is so much better, more robust, and reliable that I purchased a second and returned the others to Amazon. This adapter has gold coated USB connectors, unlike standard USB connectors on the market. Visible under the light comparing between GPURisers and standard connectors. Competitor's adapter would lose connection once everyday at least under sustained use.Heatsink is also more effective and better made than the other adapters - this has more fins and better machined quality than the others. Engineer here, this one is important for chip durability.Included PCI-E slot bracket is stamped mesh metal, preserving airflow unlike the others that just come with a full bracket and blocks airflow - made a consistent 1 degree difference in my tower with dual GPUs over 24 hours (65-66 C).The PCB material is also thicker and better printed that it can hang on a PCI-E slot bracket by itself without bending and cracking the printed connections.Best PCI-E 1-4 adapter as of late June 2021 offered on Amazon. Wish I could get one on the house for leaving this review lol but I'm happy enough with the dramatically superior quality.

looks good and it worked great like 2 days till it just died.
As a miner u will be touching and replacing stuff almost constantly so if this is that delicate its worthless.Well idk what happend but it was working great when it came then like 2 days later I had to put it down to make some card adjustment and it just stoped working. I have 3 more splitters from other brand and they are working perfectly. I recommend you to go another brand and the 4 slot model splitter istead, those never failed me like this one did.

Plug and Play
After reading the reviews, I was skeptical, but this really works! With HiveOS (which is based on Ubuntu Linux), and the MSI Z390 pro motherboard, it was plug and play. Just start with only plugging in one GPU, and then shut it down and plug the rest in. It should recognize all the cards. I am only currently using 2. However, in my testing, I was able to use all USB ports. It did not matter which port I used. The hash rate and power consumption on my cards are the same as if I was plugging each GPU into the motherboard in separate PCIE slots.

Leaving a review because of all of the people horrible with technology in the comments
Ive been running 12 of these. 6 GPU's each on nucs. I have experienced a few smaller issues (cards disappear after rebooting very rarely) Simply unplugging the PCIE cable and plugging it back in works. These are solid. "Shrug" I used the 4 port for 3 years, been using these for over a year now. Game changer.
