NOW That's What I Call Music! 86 won't contain many surprises but will contain plenty of delights, as it runs through some of the biggest chart smashes of 2013.

Very good, but maybe not quite so good as Now 85
This is a very good Now album and it has done a fantastic job of cramming in a lot of recent hits, but it has come at a price, there are a lot of songs that i was expecting missing, in fact so many you could make a 3rd disc out of the following list:-Taylor Swift feat. Ed Sheeran - Everything Has Changed - After getting the songs 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and '22' appearing on Now albums 83,84 and 85 respectively i was expecting this song to make the cut, but unfortunatly it didn't, i know for a fact that i'm not the only person out there who thinks this song should've been included, shame it didn't make it. :(Rudimental feat. Foxes - Right Here - A great tune and was really expecting it to on here after getting 'Feel the Love', 'Not Giving In' and 'Waiting All Night' on Now's 82,84 and 85, this song charted just as high as Not Giving In and that made Now 84, so why this song didn't make this album i don't know. Foxes would have got a double appearance had this song been included as her debut single 'Youth' is on here.Jay-Z feat. Justin Timberlake - Holy Grail - I've heard that Jay Z now owns his won label now so i'm guessing he chose not to have this song on this album, which is a shame really, as it's not a bad song.Tinie Tempah feat. 2 Chainz - Trampoline - Charted at #3 on release and missed out due to 'Children of the Sun' being featured on here, not fussed this song didn't make it as i'm not a fan, Children of the Sun is a much better song and i'm glad it was chosen instead, 2 Chainz would also have had a double appearance as he appears as a featured artist in Jason Derulo's single 'Talk Dirty'.Eminem feat. Rihanna - The Monster - The Only times i've ever known Eminem to appear on a Now album is on Now 53 with his song 'Without Me' and as a featured artist on Akon's single 'Smack That' on Now 66. Their previous collabaration 'Love the Way you Lie' missed Now 77 and i'm not surprised one bit this song didn't make it, despite reaching number #1 in the charts.Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball - We all know for a fact this song was missed off and will be saved for Now 87 as her previous single 'We Can't Stop' is featured instead.Little Mix - Move - Was really expecting this song as it debuted at #3 in the charts not too long ago, a place on Now 87 may be in doubt as they will have newer songs out by then.Britney Spears - Work - entered the UK single chart at #7 upon release it has now nearly dropped out of the top 100, very much doubt this song will make Now 87.Macklemore - Same Love - 'Thrift Shop' and 'Can't Hold Us' didn't make Now 84 and 85 so we all knew this song wasn't going to make this album.Avril Lavigne - Here's to Never Growing Up' - Would have been nice to see her return to the series as she has been absent since 'What the Hell' featured on Now 78 and that song only peaked at #16, this song however charted 2 places higher at #14 and didn't make this album, shame really :(Demi Lovato - Skyscraper - After seeing 'Heart Attack' on Now 85 i was near certain this song was going to feature on here, but it wasn't to be, charted at a strong #7 in the charts, only 4 places lower than 'Heart Attack'.Birdy - Wings - Thought this song may have been included as 'Skinnny Love' featured on Now 79, but it wasn't to be though.Iggy Azalea feat. T.I. - Change Your Life - Her previous single 'Bounce' featured on Now 85 and peaked at #13 in the charts and this song charted 3 places higher at #10, i wonder if the fact that T.I. is featured in the song is the reason it didn't make it as he was missed off Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' on Now 85, however he has appeared on the series before, a double appearance on Now 72 featuring on Rihanna's 'Live Your Life' and Justin Timberlake's 'Dead and Gone'.Union J - Beautiful Life - After seeing 'Carry You' on Now 85 i was near certain this song was going to be included, would have fitted nicely somewhere near the end of Disc 1 along with One Direction, the Vamps, Lawson and the Wanted, peaked at #8 only 2 places lower than 'Carry You' and why it was excluded i find very odd indeed. The Wanted - We Own the Night - Understandable this song was missed off and we got 'Show Me Love (America)' instead not only is that song newer, it charted 2 places higher, 'We Own the Night' only just peaked within the top 10.One Direction - Story of My Life - Bound for Now 87, as 'Best Song Ever' is featured instead. There may a few more, but they are the obvious ones, Now lets look at the tracks i wasn't expecting:-Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Konw? - A very odd inclusion it has to be said, i wasn't expecting this song at all, not only is this the first appearance for the Arctic Monkeys on a Now! but it only charted at #11 and was out when Now 85 was released, We could have got 'Why Do You Only Call Me When You're High' instead as it is newer and charted higher, we could get that on Now 87, who knows?Bruno Mars - Gorilla - Not a fan of his music and this song, only charted at #62 by far the lowest charting single on here, what a waste of space, Now 84 and Now 85 included all top 20 hits and it would've been 3 in a row (as well as 3 for this year) with all top 20 hits, but including this song has ruined it, the last time a song that featured on a Now! album that didn't make the top 40 was Cee-Lo Green's 'I Want You' on Now 79 and that song only peaked at #90, and that was back when Ashley Ahraham was the compiler meaning that this is the first song new compiler Jenny Fisher has included that has peaked outside the top 40.But despite all the odmissions it's a solid album with a lot of good songs -Disc 1Katy Perry - RoarOneRepublic - Counting StarsAvicii - Wake Me UpStorm Queen - Look Right ThroughMartin Garrix - AnimalsJames Arthur - You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves YouLady Gaga - ApplauseThe Vamps - Can We DanceLawson - JulietThe Wanted - Show Me Love (America)James Blunt - Bonfire HeartLily Allen - Somewhere Only We KnowDisc 2Calvin Harris feat. Ayah Marar - Thinking About YouAvicii - You Make MeLana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais - Summertime SadnessBen Pearce - What I Might DoChase & Status feat. Moko - Count on MeTinie Tempah feat. John Martin - Children of the SunSean Paul - Other Side of LoveNaughty Boy feat. Emeli Sande - LiftedRizzle Kicks - Lost GenerationJohn Newman - CheatingEliza Doolittle - Big When I Was LittleThe Saturdays - Disco Love (easily the best song on Disc 2)Then there are a few i'm not too keen onDisc 1Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz - Talk DirtyBruno Mars - GorillaDisc 2Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr feat. Beardyman - Eat Sleep Rave RepeatDJ Fresh vs Diplo feat. Dominique Young Unique - Earthquakewill.i.am - Bang BangConor Maynard - R U CrazyShowtek feat. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson - BooyahDizzee Rascal feat. will.i.am - Something Really BadBut despite some shortcomings, this is a solid album, Disc 1 is the better of the 2 as usual but 2 isn't bad at all really, this album is as i said maybe not quite so good as Now 85 (but there's not an awful lot in it really) and definetly not as good as last November's brilliant Now 83, but is better than Now 84. So if you like the current chart scene buy this album, you won't be disapointed!

Another great NOW CD
Great CD. Lots of brilliant music which appeals. 4 stars only as there are one or two songs that don't suit my style - even so very good. These compilations are great value for money if you enjoy the majority of the songs. I think the 'cloud' is a great idea too. I can get the music on my phone and computer and have the Cd's permanently in my car. Couldn't be better.

2013 anthems & classics all on one collection
"Now" musical collections have been around for over thirty years. The collection includes recent hits and even some "new" songs which were just being released and in the charts leading to Christmas 2013. The collection opensd with one of the biggest anthems of the year "Roar" by Katy Perry, Avicii's "Wake me up" & "Burn" by Ellie Goulding. There are also two of the most original songs released in 2013 "Royals" by a 16 year New-Zealander called Lorde, and the popular "Counting stars" by One Republic. There is something for everyone, and one of the then current songs was the song used by John Lewis for their Christmas advertising campaign, Lily Allen's version of "Somewhere only we know"
