I'm just using it indoors. high density urban area. works great. they know how to make them work well. priced very reasonably.

I set the antenna up on a flag pole and it did nothing for me. It just did not work, it did not pick up any channels at all and I’m not that far from tv station

Great product, reception has been amazing, located 58 channels and picture quality is great.

Granted I live between mountains. My neighbor behind me has a pricier attenea and they get reception. I eventually was able to get 10 channels. Was hoping for more but considering the hills not bad for the price.

The value of this is great. You get an antenna and amplifier for a pretty good price. However the reception wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. It's about the same as one of their other antennas rated for a lower distance. It cuts in and out slightly less and is much more flexible in how you can mount it though.

Wow ...very good antenna..it didn't do good up right .BUT put it side ways WOW I got 58 ch...I got 2 now I'm buying 1 more😍

Tested this with a Tivo that has a digital signal strength meter so that I could try it in different positions around the perimeter of the house. Adding the amplifier actually lowered the signal quality, so you're better off just using the antenna alone. I ended up buying a different amp that made a meaningful difference. I have many items from Monoprice, this one item was below their usual excellent quality.

I am not saying this is the best outdoor antenna I have ever had, but for about $11 (I would NOT pay more than $15 for this), it does the trick.For me, I know I get a few channels at my house in the country. I was setting up a TV in my garage and tried to use an indoor antenna, and I was unable to get any of the channels. When I tested the same antenna outside, I got the 8 channels I expected to get.Once I put this thing up outside, I got those same channels, and my tv (that has a reception meter) went from 3/5 reception to 4/5 reception.On my house, I have a higher powered antenna with an amp, and I get 25ish channels, but it is also in a better place than my garage with fewer trees around it.I think the point for this is that if you know you can get some channels, this one works, but don't expect it to do any miracles. You will get better reception with any antenna when you go from inside to outside, and this one is able to be outside.As other reviewers have said, the amp is garbage, so don't use it.
