I really enjoyed the book.
As a began reading this I was able to relate different sections to my everyday life and job as a Supervisor. I actually ordered this book after I had the opportunity to borrow it from a mentor through my work and then decided that I wanted to keep a copy in my home to be able to go back to when I needed it. The way that the book talks about Leadership and the avenue's a person needs to take to be successful is great and I believe it is very true through all the training and mentoring that I have had in the past 4 years. I would recommend it to others.

Wordy Inspiration.
This book strives to be inspirational, I can appreciate the authors energy and the leadership principles are solid. Take it in small chunks. If you’re reading this for a work leadership group don’t force people to read 30-40 pages at a time. Take it a couple chapters at a time and keep your discussions smaller. Start with a highlighter and pencil to highlight passages and write questions for yourself as the book suggests.

From Bud to Platitude
I really wanted to like this book. There is a desperate need for a resource to help guide the transition from worker to manager. Leadership is difficult and the cultural/emotional changes are rarely considered sufficiently. So while the authors have a good idea with Bud to Boss (love the title!), I just don't think they pull it off. The glaring weakness is that it's too general. Virtually all of the insights they cover are available at no cost from various websites and blogs, including their own. Where are the case histories, the stories of actual buds transforming into bosses? That's what I wanted to read. So if you want an elementary primer on good communication and listening skills, you can't go wrong here. It's certainly well organized. If you want something that gives you profound insight and actionable tools to excellent leadership, I suspect you will need to keep looking or attend one of the authors' workshops.

From Great to Grand
In December I completed my degree in Organizational Leadership. This book was fabulous. It took the concepts to another level. I bought two extra copies for friends who just transitioned to another level of leadership. They are getting many good tips from the book.

Really good
I found this book very informative, simple language and down to earth type of advice and examples. Regardless if you are already supervisor, preparing for that role or just wont to learn more about supervising - this is the book. I found interesting that I recognized some of my bosses’ strategies in the book and you get an insight as to why boss may be doing it - that is a good info to have. I've read some other books on subject, but still found this one to be superior.
