Q: How stable is the stand on a hard surface? (e.g. won't slide or kick out?)

This stand is quite stable on hard surfaces with impact-resistant grippy plastic feet.

Q: How long is the ridgepole/ how long a hammock can this rig hang?

I use it with my Warbonnet Blackbird XLC hammock. The hang is a little different, and I have to take in the ridgeline by wrapping it a few times around a caribiner. But it will work

Q: How can it weigh 15 lbs, but its shipping weight is only 3 lbs? Hyperdimentional shipping boxes?

Q: Does this work for a 11ft oal jungle hammock with integrated bug net?

The Nomad Hammock Stand has multiple adjustment points on each side but is meant to be used with 9ft to 10 ft long hammocks.
