Falcon Eyes Sophiez LED Round Video Panel Light Bi-color 3000-5600K LED Continuous Photo Lighting (28TD)

So, edge-lit lights, always a been a little nervous about using them in a production environment and it has taken me a year to pony up for one but what a thing this is. right now its priced at £148 which, not the cheapest, it's amazing for its output and also the diffusion.The shots show the setup and the light coverage ( please excuse the lockdown hair) that front brightness is actually with the light set at 10% using a GH5 at ISO320 and f1.8 with a sigma 24mm A. The light behind is the Falcon Eyes F7 RGB which is just the perfect setup for simple broadcasts. Highly recommend the SO28TD and have ordered a second todayThe shot with the buttercup background was the SO28TD @56% and at about 2 metres from the backdrop. The camera was a C200 @ISO800 at f2.2 with an 18-35mm sigma A. The key light was a Godox VL150 ( nice light, also thanks to Gerald Undone review) with a MASSIVE Neewer easy-up 120mm softbox - also incredible. rim light was a Godox SO60w through a Essential Photo popup beauty dish with a grid.

It is a great one if you have a professional studio. Very bright and sturdy. For my small room, it was too much and bulky though. I wanted to upgrade but for my self-taping, I just felt my flimsy softbox kit works better.

The light arrived super quick (was expecting it to take longer) really well packaged. Also was the cheapest price i could find for this item.The light itself is awesome. I have its bigger brother the '68' and this is amazing as a smaller, easily transportable with my other camera gear. The '68' would require a car or second person if carrying everything to a job.Ships with nice case and all the bits.It also syncs with my '68'All in all really great light and works great as a pair with the bigger version.Gives lovely soft light, super adjustable. This little guy really has some power, fine for smaller 1 camera interviews and not too big to carry about with other gear..

Excellent quality build and light output for the price. Packs a lot onto a very slim unit and the softening appears very even and pleasing. Dimmer and colour temperature controls are very clear and easy to use, and it even comes with a decent soft carry case with room for all accessories and extra battery.All round a very good unit to keep with you for mobile studio or location work

Use it as a key light on travel shoots and a secondary in my studio. Good value and great quality

This is a high quality LED video light. Feels very well made, not too big, good controls for brightness and colour temperature. It says it has a diffuser built in (soft) but it is still pretty harsh so I bought some diffuser cloth to simply wrap over it, which made a huge difference. (Neewer 12x5 feet/3.6x1.5 Meters Nylon Silk White Seamless Diffusion Fabric). For the ultimate softness you will need a proper soft box type solution, but if space is a premium, I do like this. Recommended.

Very easy to set up and suits our needs very well. Provides a nice soft light. Given we are limited on space in our small studio and a large softbox would not be practical, this light is a great alternative.

I was so excited after reading and watching many reviews of this light.It performed as expected - great soft light. Nice and portable. Good catchlight on the eyes for talking head videos.However, I was underwhelmed by the brightness. I need really bright lights to counter daylight from the window. This was not bright enough. So far that reason - I give 4 stars.
