Easy to read - easy to understand - easy to do! A very helpful, easily understood guide, to health!Exercise is essential for healthy aging- but often just that word - exercise - is intimidating! Chair yoga is the answer even though i didn't know the question. It is actually relaxing, deep breathing, being in the absolute now - try it!

A Good Beginners Chair Yoga Manual
I picked up Chair Yoga because of recent knee issues that have restricted my ability to flex and sustain some lower body exercises I also anticipated future corrective knee surgery which will further restrict my abilities for a while.Although I’ve practiced yoga on and off most of my life, this book clearly maps out how to modify familiar poses, incorporate gentle cardio and stretches, and introduces meditation and journaling to go along with a yoga practice.The simple illustrations are helpful to capture a single aspect of a yoga move, but users would benefit from additional views of a pose. Aside from a couple of text errors, I found the movement explanations fairly clear (again, more illustrations of the poses would have helped). The summations at the end of the book with brief explanations of the different styles of yoga and meditation were appreciated.

A Real Lifesaver
This extremely useful book can make a huge difference in quality of life! As we get older, it is increasingly more difficult to stay fit and flexible. For me, at over 70, chair yoga has made a real difference. This book has clearly written descriptions of poses as well as illustrations that can easily be followed. It’s easy to create your own fitness routine from the instructions, with no equipment needed except a chair. Don’t miss out on this one! Definitely a keeper.

I used to do floor gymnastics but my back pain is acute so I came across this handy little book which is very, very well explained. Warning, gentle gymnastics on a chair is still very tiring! especially after my mindfulness meditation sessions when my mind has been focused elsewhere, it is imperative to connect to these physical exercises with concentration. The book is illustrated with photos and not drawings.Perfect for being able to maintain your body, even if you have difficulty standing. Effective, there is something for all levels of practice
