Wooting one Analog RGB TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Pressure Sensitive, Clicky Blue Optical Switch, <1ms Input, RGB backlighting, Aluminum Chassis, N-Key Rollover, US Layout) - Black

I have been a heavy computer user since the original IBM PC, which had the best keyboard I had ever experienced, at least until this one. I bought the model with blue switches. In recent years I had mostly settled on Ducky and DAS keyboards with Cherry blue switches. This also has blue switches, but not Cherry blue. They feel lighter, more tactile, than Cherry blues switches. I can type must faster and with more accuracy. In recent months I had been working way too many hours and developed sore hands and wrists as a result, but almost immediately this keyboard began to alleviate that fatigue. The software is downloaded from their website and is far more powerful and well featured than any keyboard software I am familiar with. I cannot say enough good about this keyboard. I do not play computer games, so I cannot speak to is efficacy for that use. The keyboard is lighter than most and yet feels more solid. I am thinking of getting a second one to put in my computer bag for travel with my laptop. Update 05/25/2019 After using this keyboard heavily for many weeks, my admiration for this device has only increased. My hand fatigue from typing is much lower than it has been with any other keyboard. Highly recommend it for people that spend a lot of time typing.

I'm not a gamer. While I understand that the analog switches on this keyboard make it a very interesting option for gamers, I was looking for something to replace my old clicky key IBM Model M keyboard. After purchasing and returning two other mechanical keyboards that had quality problems (thank goodness Amazon makes returns relatively easy), I was leery of pulling the trigger on yet another keyboard purchase. But after watching many YouTube reviews, I decided to go for the Wooting One. The optical switches seemed promising, and I like the more compact layout without a number pad (tenkeyless). After a week of heavy use, I've found that the keyboard is very easy on my hands, and due the to silky smooth switches, I'm actually typing faster and whacking the keys a bit less hard--often not "bottoming out", but quietly just pressing up to the point where the switch commits. I am a touch typist with large hands, and I find the compact layout doesn't compromise anything. It's easy to hit the keys, and the layout feels right. Because I'm a bit retro myself (computer user since the mid 1970s), I wanted to go for a retro look and feel, so I replaced the stock keycaps with "ONECAP Control Code ASCII Retro Beige 139 Keys SA PBT Keycap Sublimation Keycap Cherry MX Switch keycaps for Wired USB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard", which I also found on Amazon. These are the keycaps shown in my picture. These are not the original keys. It's a pleasure to work on this rig!

I'm not a gamer. I purchased this keyboard as a general purpose keyboard. I also wanted to try the Flaretech switches. Aesthetics: Keyboard looks ok. Not ugly, not beautiful. I would have preferred a slightly smaller, standard 80% size without bezels. Typing feel: The switches are very smooth. Extremely smooth, even. No gritty feeling at all. The tactile click is very pronounced. Keys feel very light and pleasant to type on. Outstanding. Typing sound: The click sound is too high pitched for my taste, but not as bad as Cherry MX Blue and similar switches. Thicker keycaps would have improved the sound. Keycaps: Thin ABS plastic. Feels cheap. I'd expect thick PBT keycaps from a product of this class. The switch stems are Cherry MX compatible, and it's possible to replace keycaps on this keyboard with something better. Keys are moderately wobbly. RGB backlight: Full feature set of RGB backlighting with all effects and gimmicks. Backlight flickers (most likely PWM flicker) on any brightness level. This makes backlight unusable for me. Software: Surprisingly nice, for a keyboard. "Analog" gaming features: Not reviewing this. I do not care about these features at all. Overall: a very satisfying typing experience with acceptable, but a bit too loud and high pitched sound. Apart from keycaps, the keyboard does not feel cheap. Note that I'm reviewing a keyboard with blue (clicky) switches. Sound will be different with linear switches. For a first keyboard of an independent small firm, it's a very good attempt. By the looks of everything: packaging, software utility, their web site, you can tell that they care about their product.

I am editing this review after 6 months. Unfortunately, I have to give this keyboard one star due to switches failure. The left CTRL keys fails to register keypresses 50% of the times, and I have already replaced its switch 3 months ago after a failure. For the price, this is totally unacceptable. Original review: Switches are not as good as the ones of a good-old Model-M, but much better than most other keyboards. Very fast typing, although the light keys (55g) make it prone to mistyping at high speed. A 75g activation force would have been much better for me. I also miss a volume control wheel. The companion app is practical, and does not get in the way. RGB lighting seems good, but I keep it off. The choice of font used for some the keys is not ideal, and could be more readable.

-- analog switches are the BOMB , there is almost no resistence, to them so its gets so super fast -=- this keyboard is super spacious , big fat keys with deep travel , and spaciously wide keyboard can't write more other than its subjective just feels really good in the hands, and that its a dark horse winner than no one really knows about, most pple will do the k70 hutsman or apex pro but this way way beter

The wooting one is an amazing keyboard. It delivers on all its promises and is well worth it over corsair and other units. The flaretech switches are a lot smoother than cherry too

Great keyboard and by far my favorite mechanical keyboard. I had a g413 Logitech and a Rosewill RK-9000 with cherry MX browns. I didn't care for either one of those. Buy this keyboard.

By far one of my most favorite keyboards that I have used. It is a plug and play keyboard, but using Wootility (their software controller) you can change RGB colors, add macros, etc.

Does what it's supposed to do. Haven't found analog keys consistent at all but I only tested with Overwatch (would barely register, then slowly move then go full throttle, no smooth gradual movement...tried different settings.maybe defective?). But most of all be careful before buying : Red Switch is for quiet keys and Blue Switch are for clicking sound keys. Product description wasn't all that clear in explaining that in detail and so I got one that might annoy my neighbors (blue) and makes analog not feel as smooth to use. Also comes with 2 extra blue switch keys and 2 red switch keys. The clicking feels fun if you're into that. The keys light up and fade as you type like a cascade of rainbows. Cute. Has what seems to be a metalic surface for the base. I mostly game or do artwork which doesn't quite click with me (sorry) but I can't fault the product for doing well what it does. Would give 4 stars if I could figure out why the analog mode isn't working as well for me as it seems for others.

Diese Tastatur vereinigt Eigenschaften, die sonst wohl so nicht (mehr) zu finden sind. "Offiziell" richtet sich die Tastatur zwar an "Spieler", aber sie ist meiner Meinung nach hervorragend für Leute geeignet, die viel tippen, z.B. für Software-Entwicklung. - Absolut erstklassiges Schreibgefühl. Es erinnert an die alten, ausgestorbenen hochpreisigen IBM-Tastaturen. - Die gesamte Software ist OpenSource (Github: WootingKb) - Ausgezeichneter OS-Support.
