Good Product
I received the item on time and in new condition as promised. It works fine. Just be aware I ordered it in order to use my wife's Sony Walkman MP3 player in her new 2020 Honda Accord (which no longer has "Audio In" for the sound system). Unfortunately, I failed to do my research and only found out afterwards the Sony Walkman MP3 is not compatible with the Honda sound system. As far as this cord goes, it's fine. My issue was with the car's sound system compatibility. Maybe I can still use it for something else.

Didn't work for my application
Had a USB hub for docking station functionality which didn't have an audio jack. I plugged this into the USB port and the audio jack into computer speakers - it didn't work. Cord seems good quality, but doesn't work for this application.

Good Quality...just didn't work for what I had hoped
Received in a very timely manner, was sent an email hoping that it would do what I needed it to and was genuinely sincere. Purchased hoping that it would allow me to play my Ipod through the headphone jack (as opposed to the actual port which kept causing my Ipod to cut out and reboot). Unfortunately, the car's aux usb port would not recognize it (audio wise anyway got a "no device detected" message on the car's source input screen...oh well, going to have to figure something else out being that newer cars don't come with cd players anymore.

Didn't work
Why oh why is this quest so difficult. You buy a brand new car and you can't power up your Mp3 player to their sophisticated, computerized system. You call the car manufacturer and they don't care or they don't understand. You go to a tech store and they are not understanding that you are looking for a POWER USB cable for your Mp3, not a charging cable. I have charging cables galore. I had a 1996 vehicle w/a radio that I just plugged into with no problem. This is the 2nd cable I bought that failed. My car didn't even recognize it. Frustrating. I will try a car audio store. If they don't have a solution I will have to Macgyver something because I don't like listening to radio.

Surprised
It’s what it says it is!!!

Not compatible with a Focus ST with Sync1
I have a FoST with no aux jack, so it's USB and Bluetooth only. On iOS Sync1 recognized it was a music device and would treat the USB hub like an aux jack which worked perfectly. On Android it would read the phone like a USB stick and could only be browsed through my head unit while the phone would still play music through its built-in speakers. The car has Bluetooth, but the audio quality is noticeably degraded vs being wired in. I bought this in the hopes that I could trick my car into using the USB port as an Aux jack seeing several F150 owners ran into the same issue. Didn't work for me. Guess I'll stick to Bluetooth for now. Shame too because the cable is pretty well built.

Protuberance
Per request of Amazon to write a review. It was a wonderful experience. However should we be using the term Male adapter anymore? This just does not seem politically correct. I suggest Protuberant Adapter formerly known as male and for the female counterpart we could call it an encapsulator . They should also have the right to re-identify at any point.

I tried 2 cables previously from other brands and they did not work. This one is working perfectly to charge my electric kalimba.
