JENOLITE Clear Lacquer Spray Matt Finish 500ml UV Protection

I've used a number of Jenolite spray paints for refurbishing items around the home. Always a great finish and they have helped me to finish projects to a great standard. This time I wanted to refurbish 3 fishing rods, each around 20 years old and in desperate need of some care to prevent them going to landfill. With a bit of effort, some spray yacht varnish and finished with a few layers of Jenolite satin lacquer spray they genuinely look amazing. Better than when they were first bought, as they have a nice clean sheen rather than a higher gloss look. Drying time is great, 30 minutes between coats. Each goes a long way, I finished all three rods, each 12 foot long with 3 Coats each using 3 cans. A great product, easy to use, good finish and excellent value overall.

Good product used it on garden solar panels after the were cleaned,protects them .

I used this to give a final coat to garden ornaments which I had painted. It gave lovely matt finish, which is what I wanted, but dulled the colour quite bit. In this instance that was perfect for me but it may not be what others are looking for. The product sprayed really well and dried very quickly in the heat of summer so I was able to give several coats in a few hours.

One can was slightly damaged but spray works OK. I'm using it to protect rusty metal laser cut outs once they've reached the patina I want. Does the job with a couple of coats but I've had to trim away some very faint strings of lacquer afterwards on a couple of them.

Really disappointed with this product as I generally like using Jenolite products. This stuff is awful to use. I followed all the instructions and applied the first coat without issue. The problems arose when I tried to do another coat, the lacquer started to come out from underneath the nozzle when spraying, meaning it was going everywhere and dropped onto the item I was painting, ruining the finish and meaning I would have to sand it down and re-lacquer. I won't be using this again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I use this spray on my concrete vessels - perfect finish, but definitely keep bottles stored upside down with cap after initial spray to prevent spray getting clogged!

Applied to an old wooden chair I was repairing (woodworm, damage, etc.) after a layer of wax I applied this varnish and it leaves a very good finish.
