I bought one for myself first, and loved it so much, I ordered a second one for my son. I love the detail of the little note they wrote for him. I would definitely buy more for gifts. The pen company does an awesome job!🙂

I ordered this as a gift for an author friend and rather than having his name inscribed I had the Japanese phrase that was his inspiration for the leadership book he wrote on the pen. He was speechless when he opened it and now carries it with him to use and for inspiration. I haven't asked how well it writes or how comfortable it is but if I do learn that I will update the review.UPDATED: My friend has raved about the pen both because of how it inspires him and also how well it writes. His biggest fear is that he will lose it so I recently purchased a pen holder for him to not only carry it in but protect it (simple leather case I found on Amazon).

It was a gift for my father who loves quality pens. He felt in love with this gift. Outer material of box may be little more luxurious.

This pen is beautifully constructed. It’s weighted perfectly for a smooth silk-like flow when writing. An excellent gift! Engraving is expertly finished, and arrives in a well constructed sturdy gift box.

I’ve purchased two of these for graduate students after they successfully defended their dissertations and became doctors. I’ve purchased much more expensive pens for others and didn’t think they looked as nice as these. I’m immensely happy and will be ordering more of these for each of my future PhD students.

Nice pen but not worth the $65 price tag pen skips constantly when writing on checks which is what I primarily use it for to pay bills already had to use the refill that came with the pen to see if there was any improvement which there wasn't.
