It works well, but would like a different type switch
I have another lamp with switch like this, but the round switch has grooves around the edge, making it far easier to turn on & off. This one is smooth, & with 67 y.o. arthritic hands, it is very hard to turn. Not because it's too tight -- it's loose enough -- just hard to grip, to turn either way. The switch on my other lamp came off, & the little center post is large enough, & grooved, so it's easy to use just that post. I took the cover off this switch, but the post is so tiny that I still can't grip it, lol. Might leave it off, & leave a small pair of pliers nearby to turn it with.
