Is this face sunscreen reef safe?

This product is NOT reef safe. Any products containing the following ingredients are NOT environmentally friendly, safe for marine life or coral reefs: Avebenzone Oxybenzone Octinoxate Octocrylene Homosalate 4-methylbenzylidene camphor PABA Parabens Triclosan nanoparticles or “nano-sized” zinc or titanium (if it doesn’t explicitly say “micro-sized” or “non-nano” and it can rub in, it’s probably nano-sized) Any form of microplastic, such as “exfoliating beads”

This do contain Octocrylene

I do not see Octocrylene on the ingredients list. You may want to reach out to the company directly to determine if the ingredients meet your needs

Description says use 3 tablespoons which seems excessive. Does anyone really use that much?

I use the “three finger rule” which is said to be similar to 3 tablespoons. It’s where you squirt out enough sunscreen to go along three of your fingers and THAT is how much you should be applying. In my experience, it’s enough to cover your face and your neck and as long as you work it in, it never looks obvious or excessive.

Would you recommend this or the stick for face sunscreen?

I do like the cream very much. Since I have not tried tied the stick, not sure. But the cream works well.
