Anker Power Strip with 2000J Surge Protector, Outlet Extender, 20W, 8AC (White, 5FT)

Before settling on this item, I did a lot of research on surge protectors. At my home office I use a lot of electronics, and my biggest priority was finding a power strip that could withstand high power usage without potentially breaking or catching fire. I settled on Anker because it offers 2000J protection, which is higher than most generic protectors on Amazon, and because of the brand's reputation for durable products. Needless to say it works perfectly for my purposes and the build quality is excellent. I also appreciate that its thoughtful design allows it to be compact, accessible with well-placed outlets, and organized. You can easily buy another surge protector at half the price, but I do think this one is worth the investment. For me it offers peace of mind that my electronics are protected and that a fire won't start. Since it's in use 24/7 I don't mind at all investing in something with better functionality and build quality. Some reviews mention that the shape of the surge protector's plug is inconvenient. The plug shape is unusual but in my set up I have no issues with the direction of the cord or accessing the outlet next to it. For me, I keep the protector to the right of the outlet and use a regular size plug in the socket next to it with no issues. But yes, be mindful about whether that particular setup works for you.

This Anker power strip is very well designed and feels solid and dependable. The combination of multiple AC outlets, USB charging, and 2000-joule surge protection makes it extremely useful for a desk, bedroom, or travel setup. The flat plug is especially convenient behind furniture, and the 5-foot cord provides plenty of flexibility. Everything works reliably, charging is fast, and the compact design keeps cables much more organized. Excellent quality and definitely worth buying.

I really like Anker as a brand and I can't think of when I have been disappointed in any of their products. I needed to get a smaller power strip that was not a long thin strip and this fit what I needed. Likes: Love the overall compact design. Love the well-packaged way in which I received the strip. First thing I noticed is the small angled plug with a 5 ft cord. Lots of plugs here on top and the side, plus USB ports. For me, the size was great. Lots of space between the plugs as well making using this strip easy. This is deceptively able to handle many items of needed. Dislikes: None. Great design and works perfectly. Overall: Perfect. I am very pleased again.

Managing a modern workspace usually means dealing with an absolute mountain of power cords, and I was desperately looking for a way to streamline my setup without sacrificing capacity. Enter this fantastic Anker power strip. It has completely transformed the way I manage my electronic ecosystem, taking my home office from a tangled disaster zone to a sleek, highly functional command center. It perfectly balances a high capacity for plugs with a footprint that actually respects your desk space. The physical design of this Anker unit is brilliantly thoughtful. Instead of the traditional, wildly long strip that takes up half the floor, this compact block style utilizes its geometry perfectly. The 5-foot cord is completely flat, allowing it to route cleanly along baseboards and under rugs without causing an unsightly tripping hazard. Furthermore, the low-profile flat plug sits flush against the wall at a smart angle, meaning I can finally push my desk and bookshelf entirely flush against the wall without painfully bending the cord or blocking the lower wall socket. When it comes to connectivity, this little powerhouse truly shines. Having 8 AC outlets distributed smartly across the top and sides means that even those notoriously bulky power adapters don't block adjacent plugs. I can effortlessly power my dual monitors, laptop charger, desk lamp, and speaker system all simultaneously. But the real game-changer for my daily routine is the inclusion of the front-facing USB ports. The two USB-A ports equipped with Anker's IQ technology handle my smartwatches and wireless earbuds flawlessly, while the 20W Power Delivery USB-C port fast-charges my smartphone directly from the strip—eliminating the need for a separate charging brick entirely. Of course, plugging thousands of dollars worth of tech into a single hub requires absolute confidence in its safety mechanisms. Knowing this Anker power strip comes armed with a robust 2000 Joules of surge protection gives me immense peace of mind during heavy summer thunderstorms. The dual indicator lights on the top clearly display that the surge protection is active and the unit is properly grounded, offering a quick visual reassurance that my expensive home office gear is shielded from sudden voltage spikes. It is also TUV listed, which firmly reinforces its exceptional build quality and reliability. Overall, this has been an incredibly worthwhile addition to my daily workflow. It completely eliminates the dreaded wall-wart clutter, maximizes charging efficiency with those fast-charging USB ports, and tucks away neatly out of sight. Whether you are outfitting a tight college dorm room where outlets are scarce or upgrading a sprawling home office setup, this brilliantly engineered power hub provides the perfect blend of safety, convenience, and modern connectivity.

Picked this up for my desk setup and it's been flawless. The flat plug is the real standout — fits snugly behind furniture without stressing the outlet or sticking out awkwardly. Having 8 AC outlets plus USB-A and USB-C ports on one compact strip replaced two separate chargers I had cluttering my space. The 2000J surge protection is no joke either — great peace of mind for anything expensive plugged in. The outlets are well-spaced so bulky adapters don't block each other, which is something a lot of cheaper strips get wrong. One thing to note: if you're using all three USB ports simultaneously the shared output drops to 15W, so for fast charging you're better off using the USB-C port alone. Minor tradeoff for the price. Anker's build quality is consistent as always — nothing feels cheap or flimsy. At $26 this is genuinely one of the best values in the category. Already planning to grab a second one.

Overall a quality product from Anker. I was looking for a compact powerstrip that provided enough outlets for a few low power electronics - weather station, table lamp, Amazon Echo, and a laptop. The inclusion of a couple USB ports made it even better. The outlets on the strip are organized in such a manner that larger polugs can connect without interfering with the other outlets. The unit comes with screws for mounting, too. I like the velcro strap for bundling up the excess power cord for the unit itself. Overall a good purchase from a great brand. And it is TUV listed which is similar to UL listing in the US.

I really like that this power strip is compact and not elongated-- I think the boxy design makes it more stable. It has multiple outlets plus the USB-C and USB-A ports for charging. The flat cord is very convenient so it can fit behind other objects/electronics/furniture more easily. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the plug directs to the right so you have to kind of plan whatever you're plugging into the wall outlet around it. I realize other power strips are designed this way, as well. Otherwise, I'm pretty satisfied with it. Time will tell on the durability.

Anker is my trusted go-to source for high-quality, safe, Apple-compatible products. I love these surge protectors because they are well designed, have a high joule rating for such a compact surge protector & I like that there’s a switch so you can easily cut power to the protector. The outlets are spaced well so plugging in a large adapter isn’t a problem. The USB charging speed is . Only downside is there is only one USB-C port.

Nice compact size and very functional with all the port options.

I’ve been using this surge protector for a while now, and I’m very happy with its performance. The flat plug is a fantastic feature, especially for tight spaces behind furniture, and the overall compact design makes it perfect for smaller areas. The outlet distribution is well thought out, allowing me to plug in multiple devices without crowding. While the price is slightly higher than some alternatives, the quality and thoughtful design make it worth it. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reliable and space-saving power strip!

Like every other Anker product I have, this simple power strip just feels high quality. I bought this to clean up the wiring behind my TV. Worked great. I like the form factor. They include screws to mount it if you wish. Always useful to have a couple more USB outlets behind the TV too. I'm not a big fan of these "flat" plugs. I probably wouldn't choose this model if I was going to be plugging / unplugging it often. I like Anker. I have a lot of their stuff and they have never let me down.

This is one of those products where you can tell by looking at it if it will make your life easier or not. For me, it is a great device for being able to move the clutter of multiple power and USB cables out of sight. One caution about the USB-A ports which is mentioned multiple times in the lower reviews and that I found to be an issue as well: the USB-A ports do not seem to work well to power low-draw USB devices. They are meant for charging, and for charging modern devices they work fine. But one use I had in mind for one of the USB-A ports was to permanently power (not charge) an AirThings air quality monitor that needed a 5V 0.4A USB power supply. The device received power briefly on plugging it in, but then power was lost. The USB-C port powered the device as expected, but neither of the USB-A ports did. Connecting the device to a different Anker power bar model (the cube-shaped one) did not have the same issue, so I assume there's something about the ports on this particular model that don't work well with low-draw USB-A devices.
