Great customer service
Installed the winch and tested it with the wireless remote, worked great. Went out the next day and wireless remote would not work, emailed open road and they responded immediately with details on what to check.Turns out the wireless remote needed to be re-paired with the winch. Just turn on wireless remote and hold both in and out buttons down at the same time for about 10 seconds and it will re-pair and work perfectly.Great customer service, also if the winch was bad, they offered to send a replacement immediately.

Nice winch and package. Just a couple of minor issues. Openroad 4500lb - Synthetic Roap
Ordered this up for my Suzuki Kingquad 450 and overall really like it and happy with the package and cost, given discount on Prime-Day.Here's the highpoints:Package comes with: 2 Wireless Remotes, Wired Cables, Fairlead, Clevis Hook, Rubber Winch Stopper, contactor/relay controller, dustplugs, and mounting bolts. *No Mounting Plate IncludedPro:-Winch itself seems really well made, operates as expected, freewheel release/lock function works great.-Synthetic rope seems like good quality and adequate for size of winch. Haven't tested on full load pull yet, but don't have any concerns.-Handlebar controls are nice and work great. Adjusting the bracket by flipping it to opposite side was easy and allowed for a lot of flexibility in where it was mounted for a nice OEM-look.-Comes with 2 wireless remotes. Probably only need to carry 1 around, but nice to hold one in reserve in-case the other breaks. They seem well built and operate the winch exactly as expected.-Easy to setup and install, time to do it just comes down to how long you want to take to nicely route wires/cables.-Looks goodCons:-The length of cables is wildly goofy and should be addressed. The Red/Yellow cable that runs from relay to winch is very short, and if you plan to put the relay under the seat or higher up to protect from water and mud, it definitely won't cut it. The length implies they expect someone to mount the relay pretty low and close to the winch. Ironically however, the red/black battery cables are way to long assuming you have contactor under the seat and battery is close by(on ATV). I ended up using the red/black wires which were much longer, to make the run from winch, up and under seat to contactor/relay. This was still just a bit short, and ended up having to Butt-splice some of the length I didn't need from blue/yellow wire into them to extend them 12". In the end I made it all work with the wiring included (plus cost of couple large cage butt-splices), but took a lot longer than it needed because they were stingy with lengths of the wires.-Not giant con but room for improvement...The contactor and wireless relay come wired in an always-on configuration that would all for the winch to be operated when the ignition is off. I know, some people may want that, however in my experience it can often end with you returning to a dead battery as the wireless relay usually has a very low, but consistent draw when idle. I was able the rewire both the wireless relay and handlebar remote to be activated only when ignition is on fairly easily, but the ability to do this was not documented at all in the manual, and should be addressed as this is a very common way to wire these winches. Basically, you disconnect both the preinstalled small-gauge red jumper wires from the contactor, and connect both, along with the red wire running from handlebar remote into an ignition switched power source. Many quads come with a prewired source for winches and accessories as mine did, making it fairly easy.

Great winch Great price
I installed this as an upgrade to the stock winch on my side by side. This thing has the power need to get out of the mud I’m very pleased with it and have used it 2 times already.

Quick and easy
Haven’t had a chance to use it since it was installed but I have witnessed one just like in use and that is what led me to purchase this one.Installation was fairly easy to install on the Polaris ranger.

Easy to set up, well equipped
Installed on a new car trailer build. The set up for both wired and wireless remotes was quite easy. Looks quite good. Self explanatory throughout. Look forward to putting through its paces, I’ve mostly used the 5500 lb harbor freight winch on previous trailers but this seemed worth trying for the price point (got it with a $50 off coupon)My one complaint is the winch hook has a small opening and it’s hard to get it to grab onto even a 1/2 D ring, I’ll probably swap it out.

Would not recommend to anyone that needs this for more then a one time emergency use …
Winch itself is good quality but all electric components and wiring are very poor quality and I wouldn’t even use them.. first two wires I tried hooking up the eyelets fell off the wires and got all hooked up and just trying the winch the winch in and out switch broke and got stuck in the winch in position and had to quickly disconnect battery before it burned up or broke.. all in all I’d shop elsewhere for a winch

wiring
The instructions don't include any electrical schematics showing how to wire the winch. written instructions are vague and the remotes are less than instilling confidence. The mounting plate is not included and couldn't find on Amazon, had to be ordered separately direct from Openroad. The wiring for the wired switch is a rats nest. not impressed but then I guess you get what you pay for. went cheap and got cheap.
