Agree with everything in an earlier review by "TechSkills". Too many design flaws. I would not recommend this product.

The grab bar is sturdy when installed, so long as you anchor it into wood. I attached it to our vanity and then realized it wobbled since the vanity wasn't secured to the wall - an easy enough fix. However, the toilet paper end piece is a bad design. Something smaller and thicker would work much better. It sticks out and gets in the way when you try to grab the bar and it's thin enough to poke into one's arm. The toilet paper roll is fine since it just shifts over a bit and is soft. So, I just removed it. The toilet paper does stay on it but it kept shifting down. The grab bar is level, but the portion that holds the toilet paper slopes down. The product picture has the bars looking paralIel, so I don't think it's supposed to do this, but ours sure did. I used a rubber mallet to fix the issue, but still ended up denting it. It works though.

We’re remodeling our master bathroom and my husband said there WILL be handicap bars installed in the toilet, shower, and tub areas. We are only 51 but he had knee replacement this past summer and through rehab & healing he needed help with these essential bathroom duties. So now that he’s gotten a glimpse of the future he is adamant there will be handicap bars installed throughout the house. I was highly irritated thinking about ruining my beautiful home aesthetic with big bars all over the place so I set out on a mission to find attractive good quality bars. I was pretty pleased when I can across this one. Seeing that I didn’t have to have a separate toilet paper holder and bar on my bathroom wall was exciting. I ordered this one. It came quickly but that’s about all I can think of as positive. It needs to be installed straight up and down , instead of a slant, or you won’t be hanging it on studs. As many reviews have stated this is not the correct dimensions for mounting in studs as claimed. One end is sharp and it’s missing the knurling (ridged handheld area). This seems like it will be more dangerous than not having a bar installed. My suggestion is to shop around. Amazon has more that are designed very similar but actually have what you need and aren’t expensive.

I really like the combination of features of this grab bar. It has a sturdy and functional support bar and also a space for toilet paper. It has a nice white finish and looks great. I am in the process of outfitting our house with grab bars for all the bathrooms. Each set up is different which requires I really look for the best spot for maximum assistance. I also have to contend with this houses tendency to not have wall studs where I need them. Although this is touted as being a right handed support and it certainly works well in that position, it is also possible to place the bar vertically along a single stud. Whichever method I choose I feel this bar is going to do an excellent job of helping a person stand up from a seated position.
