I got this sliding door security bar for extra peace of mind on my patio door, and it does exactly what I needed. It was easy to adjust to the right length, and the rubber tips help it stay in place without scratching the door or frame. It feels sturdy once positioned and makes the sliding door feel much more secure. I also like that it’s simple to remove from the inside when I need to use the door, but it still adds a strong extra layer of protection when the door is closed. Great option if you want something affordable, simple, and effective for a sliding patio door.

Well made, with a very solid feel that keeps the door secure no matter how much we shake and tug at the door or handles. It even looks nice with great finish. My one complaint is that our door has an interior bevel on both sides, so the ends of the bar do not fit perfectly (but it does fit), and I wish there a narrower cap on the wider end. Aside from that, this took us about 120 seconds to install, and has worked perfectly. I see some people in the videos had issues with some play - I think they need to adjust it to fit more snugly, because we see none of that. There is no movement in the bar no matter how hard we shake or rattle the door or bar.

Very sturdy and gives a good impression of extra security. Step #1 is to put the rubber foot on one end of the device, but wait until you know if you have to add anymore pieces to make it longer before you put that on, or you might struggle to get if off to extend the length. I have a 96” sliding glass door that took both extensions.

Perfect for my kitchen patio door. Sturdy and easy to use. I will purchase another one for my other patio door.

It works great and can be sized to fit any sliding door. It secures the door very well.

The lock / latch on our sliding door broke so we grabbed this for not only security reasons but to help keep the winter cold temperatures outside. This bar is very strong with lots of adjustable settings. We sleep better (and warmer) at night knowing that door is tight and secured.
