Supremely well made, sharp out of the box and attractive besides. The tool set is good though not the best of the swiss army range but it is probably the most comfortable in the hand with maybe the ranger the only alternative for this sort of knife, I highly recommend the Farner X instead though in every way which is basically a more durable huntsman with it's tools condensed and perfected. The 2 knives are short enough for every day carry in the UK to my understanding and cut nicely, they're perhaps too small for regular use and sharpening but Victorinox have a great warranty and as far as I know can replace parts for you. Not every tool is useful to me but there's enough variety that you'll be able to figure out a solution to most of your problems. I love the saw blade and have used it probably the most of all it's tools. The scissors are even better than that, the very best multi tool scissors out there.

What can I say. I've wanted to collect the camo Huntsman for a few years now. I know they're not the most expensive things to buy but they still cost a fair price to purchase just for collection purposes. Which means they're just sat on the side collecting dust or left in the box and forgotten about. Just need the desert camo edition next. The price of this navy camo model is usually a lot more money and often nearer £50 to buy. This is the first time I've seen it on sale for less than £30. The Huntsman is a great model to own. It's actually one of the best modern day models. It's not too heavy and you'll hardly notice the weight in your jeans pocket. It has most tools you could need. You could perhaps wish for the metal saw too and a Philips screwdriver but none of the smaller models are perfect tool wise. They all some type of compromise. The Ranger is the next model up which has the metal saw and the extra back layer tools but it still lacks the pliers and that's where the next model comes into play that being called the Handyman. Yet again it still lacks a Philips screwdriver but apparently you can use the flat head for most cross headed screws anyway. The next model after the Handyman is the Swiss champ and that does indeed have a Philips screwdriver plus a magnifying glass and a fish descaler tool but that is one of the biggest and heaviest models not forgetting the price too. Some other interesting models worth noting are the Climber, the Super tinker, the Mountaineer, the Explorer, the Work Champ, the Outrider and the Alox models Pioneer X and the Farmer X. For the price you can't beat the Huntsman though. If you don't want the wood saw then get the Climber and if you don't want a corkscrew and a wood saw get the super tinker. I've mentiond the super tinker(red) and climber(white)also because they can be found for a cheap price currently here on Amazon. Or just get this navy camo Huntsman.

Great colourway on a versatile pocket tool. Can sdd to it with a few third party options. I got it below £30 and at that price it's a good buy.

Ich habe mir das Messer für Familienausflüge in die Berge bestellt, wo dann auch mal etwas gebaut, geschnitzt und gesägt werden muss. Von daher war das "Huntsmen" für mich die sinnvollste Wahl, da hier eher "Outdoor-nahe" Werkzeuge in gelungener Mischung enthalten sind. Zur Auswahl standen für mich nur Markenprodukte, da ich mich auf Werkzeuge verlassen können muss - sowohl was die Sicherheit bei der Benutzung als auch die Sicherstellung der Funktion angeht. Das das Messer seinem guten Ruf gerecht wird, merkt man, sobald man es in die Hand nimmt. Pros: - Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung - alle Werkzeuge rasten spürbar und zuverlässig ein - aus meiner Sicht eine gelungene Mischung aus "straffem Einrasten" und Leichtgängigkeit beim Öffnen - hochwertiges Material, tolle Verarbeitung (da klappert und verbiegt sich nichts, alle Kanten sauber ausgeführt) - Größe und Gewicht entsprechen den Angaben. Gutes Verhältnis von Funktionsumfang zu Größe/Gewicht Relevante Nachteile: - bislang noch nichts gefunden (und ich habe wirklich gesucht) Zum Design - das Navy-Tarnmuster macht sich hervorragend. Sehr edler Look, schöne Musterung. Von der Farbe her eher verschiedene Grau-Töne mit leichtem Blaustich. Ist in der Familie direkt zum Eyecatcher geworden. Ich hatte noch ein klassisch-rotes Modell dazu bestellt (wegen der besseren Auffindbarkeit in Wald und Wiese), dafür hat sich jedoch niemand mehr interessiert :) Zur Nutzung: - Die Messer sind scharf geschliffen (Vorsicht beim Öffnen!) - Die Holzsäge ist top - Die Schere hat Leukoplast-Pflaster geschnitten, ohne dass da etwas umknickt oder sich die Schere auseinanderdrückt. Die Nagelschere, mit der ich dies zuerst versucht hatte, konnte nur neidisch zuschauen. - Auch wenn ich ehrlich noch nicht weiß, wofür der Haken gut sein soll - 4mm 550er-Paracord ist so ziemlich das Maximum, welches er aufnehmen kann - die Pinzette ist ausreichend, um Holzsplitter und Insektenstachel zu entfernen (ggfs. mit Schleifpapier innen etwas anrauen) - der Rest tut, wofür er gedacht ist (Dosenöffner und "Abisolierer" (gibts das Wort überhaupt?) konnte ich noch nicht ausprobieren) Hinweis: - öfter ist den Rezensionen zu lesen, dass sich manche Werkzeuge schwer öffnen lassen ... je mehr Werkzeuge geöffnet sind, desto schwergängiger werden die noch geschlossenen. Was an der Bauform liegt und aus meiner Sicht keinen Mangel darstellt. Jedes Werkzeug für sich alleine lässt sich (bei beiden meiner Messer) problemlos öffnen, ab drei gleichzeitig (je nach Position) wird es dann schwieriger. Zur Lieferung: - am Nachmittag bestellt, am nächsten Morgen geliefert, top - Versand im kartonierten Umschlag, wodurch die Victorinox-Verpackung etwas gelitten hat (Quetschung 2. Grades). Verschenken wäre jetzt nicht mehr drin. Macht aber nix, die Verpackung macht eh nicht viel her. Das können chinesische Taschenlampen-Hersteller bei Leuchten im gleichen Preissegment deutlich besser - eine "Unboxing"-Erfahrung gibt es hier leider nicht @Victorinox: - an der Säge fehlt eine Nut, um diese mit einem Fingernagel zu öffnen - weshalb? Geht auch so problemlos über die Spitze der Säge, aber das ist ein Bruch in der Bedienlogik, welchen ich so nicht nachvollziehen oder einen Grund dafür erkennen kann - wozu braucht der Durchschnittsanwender das zweite, kleinere Messer? Den Platz hätte man m.E.n. besser mit etwas anderem belegen können, bspw. dem Schaber / Holzmeißel-Tool (für Reste von Aufklebern, Lacke, Holzbearbeitung, etc.) oder dem Kartonöffner. - Ihr baut so geile Taschenmesser, aber die Verpackung wird dem nicht im Mindesten gerecht und zieht den Gesamteindruck erst einmal runter - ich bin beruflich UXler und mir tun solche verpassten Chancen immer weh ;) - An dem Tag, an welchem Ihr einen Konfigurator für Eure Messer auf der Website habt und man sich die Tools raussuchen kann, die man wirklich braucht, kaufe ich für die gesamte Verwandtschaft Taschenmesser. Ich weiß, das ist komplex bei Euch, aber es geht ;)
