I'm definitely happy with the results from my purchase with A1lawn seeds. To give context, I had a new patio, fencing and pathway installed. The previous grass was a mix of various types, alot of weeds also. The soil needed lowering and was bumpy, so I removed 8 tonnes of soil over 2 days into a skip. I cultivated the soil and added some lime. I then leveled the ground using a pallet and dragging it up and down, which proved really effective. I then needed seeds, as turf seemed extremely expensive and I'm aware different species of grass grow better in different environments. My soil is rather sandy, so I gave A1lawn a call and after a discussion of the environment and me having kids they advised this type. I was advised to use 1 bag, but in the end needed 2 bags, this was my fault due to spreading by hand. I think a seed spreader, would of done a much better job. Another factor may have been birds, so I bought some reflective tape and bamboo sticks and placed about 50, 30cm long tips on each side of the garden. This proved effective and birds tended to keep away after using the second bag. I also bought some pre-seeder, the whole process took about 8 weeks and atleast 3-4 full working days. What impressed me most about this company, was the technical support they provided over the phone and the instructions they sent out with the seeds/pre-seeder. Thanks 👍

Planted mid October started to appear 10 days later,also seeded a rough area of ground which had a shed on it for over 10 years very surprised at the amount of grass which grew ,I had my doubts that any would grow impressed

So far so good. I’m doing an autumn lawn renovation in England and felt I was starting a bit late in mid October. Seed are sprouting well after a couple of weeks. A bit patchy so far so hoping other areas are just a bit slower. To me will tell but impressed they are coming up

I swear by A1 products, their fertilisers are great as well as all their other seed. I have an ongoing issue with one side of my lawn going bare over winter and getting filled out with moss, I therefore thought this year i would try this stuff when doing my annual maintenance. It took a little longer to germinate than their other seed but i think was due to low ground temps but now it has taken beautifully. (just over 2 weeks to see mass germination). I have also used this to overseed the rest of my lawn and it has started filling out my lawn very well. I have not found much that beats a1 products and it's my go to for any lawn products.

I thought I'd try this grass seed, as it was about £10 cheaper than my regular clay king seed. Shouldn't have bothered, instantly I could see the seed size was very small and underdeveloped. I put ample amounts down in well watered, rich soil. I only ever saw a handful amount of green shoots, which died off soon after. Absolute robbery paying for this. I've still got some left, but it'll no doubt go straight in the bin!!

Expensive seed took way longer to germinate than it states and also had lots of weeds through and also had still left patchy even with regularly watering and sun

Our lawn was never really looked after by the previous tenant, and it's very shaded due to high walls and large plants such as a buddleia, so it's very patchy as well. I used this to over-seed the lawn, and it's so far looking great - my neighbour's even commented on it. The seeds established themselves very easily, and I'm definitely a novice when it comes to gardening. What likely made this so successful was all the great advice from A1Lawn, as not only did the seed come with information on how to over-seed the lawn or establish a new lawn, but they also emailed with very useful advice. It definitely made the process a lot easier, and I really appreciate the extra effort the company clearly goes through to provide you with a product you're happy with. They even provide a way to contact them for advice if you're not getting the results you expected. Would definitely recommend them for the service alone, but this seed blend is doing an excellent job and has hopefully saved a lawn I didn't have much hope for.

Slower germination than expected but probably due to weather as just showing now after seeding a few weeks ago. Like this brand as a repeat order but first time with shady . Best value price.
