Using them for nearly 18 months now. Both 1.0 and the latest 2.0 City Play version. That was the best purchase I could ever made for my 11 years old son to track unbiased progress of his development. Now 8 of his teammates have City Play as well.

I’m curious about whether it will work if and when it’s ever caked in mud so when those are the playing conditions, I’ll update this.They arrive in a wee charging case - like wireless earbuds - and they need charging before first use. The left and right censors have a colour code on the back so you know which is which. One full charge will last about 10 hours, which is pretty good.You get two straps: left and right feet, and they’re colour co-ordinated, too. They look like small harnesses basically, and you just clip the sensors to the inside of their respective straps then slip your feet into them.The box also contains a small bag for keeping all your bits and pieces together which is a well-thought out extra.So you need to download the app - a subscription is included - and then it will track data, like speed and agility.Oh, here’s something cool, actually: if multiple people in the team have this, you can track each other’s results and turn it into a competition… I can see that being super motivational - competing with your team-mates to see who is improving the most would be very helpful indeed.So it’s a really fun thing for him to have, to see how he’s improving - but I think, really, it’s probably more intended for people who take their football really seriously. It doesn’t always measure what he’s doing so it feels a little unstable - for someone who will be playing a lot, that’s not a huge problem because playing-time means they will still get lots of data; husband plays for a couple of hours a week, so it’s less concentrated, and missing data is more of a problem.But it’s still an excellent piece of wearable tech and if you’re even semi serious about football, it’s an excellent buy.

What an age we live in! They didn't have things like this when I was growing up! An excellent way to track your develpment as a player. My son has been using it for a while now and is thrilled to be able to watch his own develpment. A must have for any budding young football star.

Great for improving the area you have the most difficulty with.The app is easy to download, easy to use and you can see the areas you need to improve.The straps are a little big to fit a child's feet, so I believe it will be much better used by a teenager or adult.I chose it for my husband and he is very satisfied with the performance of this product.I would recommend it.

I got this for my teenage nephew, who is a keen football player.He says that the first time you wear the tracker, you are very aware of it, but after a while you stop noticing it, and it does not impede your play.Using it with an app, the sensor tracks a range of metrics related to your game and movement, from speed to dribbling, to power of kick and which feet you are using.He says it's interesting looking at the stats, but probably not that useful for anyone who is not a professional or who has someone to analyse the data for them and suggest changes as a result.Sometimes the tracker has failed to pick up a couple of stats in a game.The app is very intuitive and easy to use.
