The HINISO dehumidifier works really well. I stay in Chennai, where the humidity in my room usually reaches around 75–80%, which can lead to significant discomfort and health concerns as well. The packaging was excellent. The unit was securely packed with proper shock absorbers and even placed inside a wooden box. A solid 10/10 for the packaging. The fan noise is almost negligible, which is a huge plus. The app also offers multiple settings and controls to customize the experience. For example, even if I set the humidity level to 30%, it may not achieve it completely, but it comfortably brings the room humidity down from 78% to nearly 50%, which is a decent and comfortable level for everyday living. All this is applicable for a room of around 200sq.ft. If someone is planning for more than 200sq.ft in a coastal region, I would ask to take guidance from the company for buying the right product. If someone expects even stronger performance, they may consider going for the higher-end models. One thing to note is that the unit makes the room slightly warm, so it works best when paired with an AC. When I use it along with my AC, the humidity level drops below 40% quite effectively. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and satisfied with its performance.

This is okay. It does what I wanted which was to stop the horrible mold issues we get during monsoon in Goa where the humidity can be 95%. An AC would work better but that involves alot of money, putting holes in the wall and having a huge outside unit making noise. We bought it for our small spare room in Goa. We keep clothes and stuff we don’t want to mold in this room during monsoon. You need to empty the water 3 times a day but there is an included hose so you can have it continuously drain if you want to. If the power goes off, it doesn’t have auto restart so you do have to turn it back on. There’s a thermostat that should turn it off when the humidity gets to whatever you set it it. We set it to 50% but I think Goa is so humid it never gets below 55%, still this unit effectively removes enough moisture to keep the room dry and there are no signs of mold or dampness in the room. It does create heat but the room is hot and dry as opposed to dry, wet and moldy. The price is great and better then any similar unit on Amazon and I read that the customer service is good though we haven’t needed to use it. Some things to note : You need to keep doors and windows closed for any dehumidifier to work, otherwise you’re just bringing more humidity in and you’d need a huge unit to remove the extra water. You’ll want to run this 24 hours a day and expect some increase in your electric bill but it’s less then other units or AC. If you don’t plan to use the drain hose and don’t want to have to empty the water so much, you can go for their bigger unit. The unit is fairly quiet. There’s a filter in the back that you can pop out and wash periodically. Overall, the price is great, its fairly quiet, and the unit works well and keeps the room mold free. Next time I’ll buy the bigger unit for my livingroom. Really, the price is great compared to other units if you don’t care about the auto restart and it works as well as any other expensive brand. We bought this instead of Sharp because every review said the Sharp units are super noisy. Important: With any dehumidifier from Amazon, make sure you unbox it and check for damage before you plug it in, then let it sit for 24 hrs to let the gas settle before starting it for the first time. I would definitely buy this again.
