Amazon Basics Max Strength Drain Cleaner Hair Clog Remover Gel - Unclogs Hair and Grease, 80 Fl Oz, Packaging May Vary

I've three times used concentrated sulfuric acid to unclog drains; the smell is awful, pollutes the entire home and even the outdoors as it goes out the vent pipes. I decided to try this as it's super concentrated bleach and lye plus some fragrances. My shower had been twice reamed out by roto-ripoff and flow problems came back. Once again, I was standing in water over my ankles after a shower which took 2 hours to drain down. With 3" 60 year old drains, I poured most of the bottle in, about 4/5th, zero odor (thankfully) and let it sit for 2 hours. Afterwards, there was no accumulation of waste water in the drain even with the handheld sprayer removed for maximum flow - it sold me! Price is right too, and it didn't eat the chrome off the drain like sulfuric acid does. Great product!

This did the job! Our shower had been smelling for awhile. I scrubbed it multiple times and nothing helped. We had no clogs or slow draining, but decided to try this anyway. It worked great! The smell went away! It is more liquid than the name brand gel, but it worked, so I'm not complaining! We used it on a few other drains as well...both slow...and it solves that problem too. I will buy this again.

Impressive drain clog remover. Good price. My only suggestion is that a clear panel is needed on one of the narrow sides of the container so that you can see when "one-fifth" of the bottle has been dispensed. One-fifth of the contents is the recommended dose for clogs and you have to measure this by heft. If the weight feels like 80% of what it was before it was opened, then you've used one-fifth of th contents. Kind of imprecise and this makes it easy to use too little of too much when seeking to unclog the drain.

This product is amazing! One bottle was enough to successfully unclogg 4 sinks. Easy to use, takes only a few minutes to do the job. Overall, I am happy with results!

I had a bad clog in my bathtub and decided to take action. I have an old house so I was kinda scared my pipes wouldn't be OK. First I had bought a different product with enzymes that didn't really help. So I went with this product next. I was really surprised with the results after using it the first time. I could tell a difference right away, and I still have a lot left. It works pretty good and the price is unbeatable. Easy to use as well. Finally no more annoying clogs!

It arrived with leakage, which was disappointing, but thankfully enough product was left to do the job. It cleared my drain effectively and worked better than I expected. I just wish it had been packaged more securely.

I was experiencing a slow drain on one side of my kitchen sink I live in the country and a stopped drain usually means calling the plumber. I read the reviews and felt good about ordering the Amazon Basics drain cleaner. I opened the bottle there was no odor and it was clear and very thick. I poured it in the slow drain side and left to go run an errand. I ran water through my coffee maker several hours later and poured the hot water through the drain. The drain was better but not completely free. I ran another pot of water through the coffee pot and poured it down the drain. The clog was taken care of and this product says it is environmental friendly. The price was good and I am pleased with the performance and speed of how it worked.

Only one application needed to clear the clog in bathroom sink. We added boiling water several hours afterwards and clog disappeared. Definitely like this product. Going to try applying this product to slow bathroom drain as well.
