Awesome ! Awesome ! Daily bible ! This daily bible is just so amazing beyond words ! This edition comes in NKJV. I've tried to use so many yearly read through the bible plans and have not found one so easy and so inviting to use ! My wife has been reading through this bible daily since January 1st ! and we pray that this year we can read the bible through. Other plans were also good, but somehow I always get sidetracked or did not end up persisting through the whole plan ! The extra features that Dr. Charles Stanley includes in this daily bible help tremendously in giving me extra guidance and insights when going through the daily readings. This daily bible just invites my wife and I to eagerly come back everyday for the word! The features includes: 1- Life Principles - which there are 30 of them, are placed carefully throughout this daily bible in relevant sections. These are awesome and helps me as a lay christian get so much more insight into the Word of God. The first Life principle of course is : Our Intimacy with God - His Highest Priority for our lives - Determines the impact of our lives. Some of the things I learned from this section is that God loves us and desires our fellowship and worship and that the more we know and love Jesus, the more effective our servie will be. And the more we surrender to him the closer and more intimate we are with the Lord. He goes over more gems in more details but I wont spoil it but buy the book its so helpful ! Especially if reading the bible in one year may have seemed like checking off a list and life a chore, this programs actually makes it fun, or if it ready through the bible does not feel like a chore, its another great yearly reading program with great insights from a great bible teacher ! 2- Another feature I love is the Life Lessons feature, which and distributed through the daily bible in boxes, featuring a verse and insights of Dr. Charles and that is also very insightful. 3- Life Examples - This feature showcases men and women in the bible that gives an example and demonstrates the biblical principles that we will benefit from or men and women we can follow through their example, including Barnabas, the son of encouragement, the wise men, Paul, and of course Jesus, the Best friend you will ever have, for example. 4- Answers to Life difficult questions? 5- What the bible says about ... section; and example would be What the bible says about How the Holy Spirit Guides US. Another topic that Dr. Charles clarified for me in these features was What is the unpardonable sin? Have you commited it and how do you know and avoid it? 6- There are also other features as well. There is so much gems and golden nuggets and deep throughts and guidance about the Word of God here that I highly recommend this book without reservation to anyone who are seeking to know more about, God, who wants to become coser to God, and to delve deeper into the Word. Of course the Holy Spirit is our best teacher, however, these insides by Dr. Charles has really helped me personally. I believe it will help many people, new believers as well as long time christians, or nonchristians who want to learn about Jesus and wants to read through the bible to discover the truth !

The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Daily Bible NKJV Paperback I cannot say enough good about this DAILY study Bible. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT. Older and wiser now, I want to know whose works I am studying, their influence and personal relationship with the Sovereign Creator. Dr. Charles Stanley is one of five finger preachers I will lend my time in listening to. Soft spoken and humble, in his lectures and books the relationship he shares with God is deeply personal and righteous. He avoids his influence and teaches the Word of God. The LP Daily Bible (NOT to be confused with his Life Principles Bible) touts six formats: Daily Bible readings with portions from the Old Testament, Psalms, Proverbs and the New Testament; Life Principles, thirty critical principles for successful Christian living; What the Bible Says About, articles on scriptural insight of concern to believers; Answers to Life's Questions, focusing on challenges in our Christian faith; Life Lessons, offer insights into Bible verses/passages emphasizing the practical and personal nature of God's Word. Life Lessons are indicated in the margin by pointers; asterisks denote a Bible promise. What I like is that each daily reading may be completed within 30 minutes ... taking longer as schedules and study intent demmand. I started with August 4, when I received the Bible and already know this is one format I probably will study daily. Unlike other study bibles with leagues of cross references, Dr. Stanley has kept the Daily Bible simple, but believe me, poignant! Each lesson is dated (without year). The Bible verse and Bible promises are highlighted (dark gray). Side bars for each Life Lesson are small boxes that do not mince words. What the Bible Says About (title also highlighted) may be larger areas, but again, Dr. Stanley goes straight to the heart of the matter opening our mind to ponder with NO extraneous word clutter. This daily study Bible may not be adequate for advanced biblical students, pastors, teachers, etc, but for the new Christian, teenager, casual reader of the Bible and for those of us returning to the flock, it is excellent. I should think Sunday school and Bible school teachers would also find its format easy to use when preparing their classes. Students certainly will find it easy to follow. And, as Dr. Stanley writes in his prologue: "... the best thing I could do [was develop] the Life Principles Daily Bible --- to help you read through the entire Bible in a year ..." My only con: I wish he had included a dictionary of Hebrew dates to include: Jewish festivals, holy days and both the civil and religious calendar. This would have made this study Bible about Perfect. Maybe in a later edition? HIGHLY RECOMMEND PRODUCT and Seller. Product as described. Delivery Prime timely.

My husband and I both loved Charles Stanley, and we have the Charles Stanley Bibles. My husband said he wanted the Daily Bible as well, so I bought it and then saw how it is formatted, with something from the Old Testament, the New Testament, psalms, proverbs, and the gospels every day. Love how it’s broken up like that, along with the life lessons and life principles. Just a wonderful Bible, so I bought one for myself and then posted about it online, and several of my friends have ordered it as well. And it’s well-made and compact for traveling. Sitting here now reading it as I wait for my husband’s doctor appointment while we’re out of town easy to carry, easy to travel with.

I didn't actually understand what this was when I bought it but I've enjoyed it none the less. It is a daily reader bible that has for each day an old testament passage, some stuff from psalms and proverbs, and a new testament passage with commentary from Charles Stanley thrown in. I've actually found it quite interesting to read the bible this way. Stanley of course has great comments, I wish in fact he put more of them in there, especially to explain some of the weirder things in the Bible. I don't actually know how to "look up" passages in this book. The concordance seems to suggest you can but somehow it is beyond me. I do like reading it though.

Quite simply, this daily bible has immensely changed my fellowship with God for the better. It has provided me with a structure for reading my bible daily and the Life Principles contained in it facilitate my bible study. Essentially this Daily Bible is an indispensable tool in my daily devotional. Compared to other "Devotional" books and bibles that I have read so far, this one is better by miles! It has blessed me so much that I could not keep it to myself. So I have blessed others with it by buying and giving away at least 20 copies of it. Even having so many bibles with me, I was unable to understand what I am reading and from where to start reading. I am a fan of Dr. Charles Stanly, I use to watch his sermons in God T.V. regularly. But this book Life principles Daily changed my whole life, because I do not want to miss one day reading it and I will not . This is the second book with me, I take minimum one hour to read it. Slowly, repeatedly marking the important verses and with devotion and reverence. It has changed my life completely. I thank God for Charles Stanly, what a beautiful and wonderful creation of God out of the clay! Every page of this book teach me the perfect meaning of the Word God with guidance and showing the way to how seek God.

This is a wonderful daily Bible! Just the idea of having a daily Bible is great since it motivates you to read scripture daily as a practice, and then you know that by the end of the year you will have read the entire Bible! I love Charles Stanley's commentary throughout. I love that there's a bit of Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs each day. I also LOVE that it's not very colourful inside because I am enjoying using various coloured pencils to highlight important sections. I wanted the freedom to colour in this Bible as much as I felt like, although this is not a Bible for journalling/artwork (the margins are not wide for example). I love the feel of the front and back cover; the paperback version has this rubbery texture and I love how it feels in my hand. The text is nice and clear (my phone is blurry and does not do justice to the crisp clear text). I love how each day has slightly different commentary features so it doesn't get boring. I also love how God's promises are marked with an asterisk (*) throughout the entire Bible! It's like a scavenger hunt and you get excited finding the next promise as you read. I was very pleased that this was available in NKJV since that is my preferred version. Overall this is a great Bible to have in addition to other chronological Bibles! I feel it's important to have both! This should not be considered one's primary Bible since it would be difficult to find passages as they are randomized throughout the book. There is also merit to reading the Bible in chronological order so that all the sections are understood in context. If a new believer started out with this Bible it would be difficult to understand the context since the Bible is broken down into excerpts and the order is changed around. So I consider this definitely more of a complementary Bible as a daily devotional, not my main Bible. Update: I had written the above review on the first day and didn't realize that the Bible is actually in chronological order but in four parts. So for example on Jan 1st the excerpts are: Genesis 1:1-2:25, Psalm 1:1-6, Proverbs 1:1-7, Matthew 1:1-25. On Jan 2nd the excerpts are: Genesis 3:1-4:26, Psalm 2:1-6, Proverbs 1:8,9, Matthew 2:1-23. The pattern continues this way until December 31 when we reach the last sections of the old testament, last sections of psalms, last sections of proverbs, and last sections of new testament. So the entire Bible is covered chronologically, but just divided into four sections every day.

There are no words... love it, love it, love it.. the life principles. Having old and new testament for each day, makes it easier for me to go through the Bible
