Pretty easy to install
This was for an iPhone 8.I got my phone less than a year ago and I noticed over the weekend that I had a crack on the lens. I’m not sure how long I had the crack or how I got it. The reason I even noticed it was my pictures started having a light flare for no reason. When I looked at the lens… I noticed the crack.I tried to search for how much it cost for apple to fix this. I couldn’t figure it out. I asked a friend who has some knowledge about it and he said that apple doesn’t fix that, they would junk your phone and you would have to pay 99 dollars (if you have apple care – which I don’t) or 299 dollars (if you don’t) since my phone is less than a year old. That’s if they decide to cover it but it could also be deemed my fault and they won’t. So I might have buy a new phone for whatever the price is … anyways it looked like I was out at least 300 dollars.I read I could go to a mall kiosks that does phone fixes. It looked like it was around 40 dollars to go that route but I read horror stories of them accidently resetting your phone. Which I guess isn’t the end of the world but I decided to back up my phone in case. Then I saw a youtube video that said how easy this was to do yourself and how you can just buy kits online, ebay or amazon for a few bucks. Okay let’s try that. I bought this kit and it came 2 days later.Let me tell you, I’m not good with this type of thing. I am smart and detailed so when I told my friends I was going to attempt this everyone felt I could do it. I didn’t feel at all confident. I have shaky hands and never built models growing up. Not that it matters but I should probably clarify that I’m female. The hardest part was getting the glass off. This is how I was able to do it. I heated it with a blow dryer a few times. I tapped at a spot where my crack was with the knife. I kept tapping the glass at the crack nearest to the edge of the ring till it created a small hole and I tried to make the hole bit enough for my knife to get leverage to pry some of the glass off. This worked but I had small shards of glass from the hole I made and some of it got on my camera. Then I used the tweezers it came with to pick off the rest of the glass. Try to work from the middle out, the hardest part is getting the glass to come off the edge where it is glued to the case. After I got all the glass off and checked the camera it was fine. But I saw some small shards of glass on the camera itself and I took the cloth that the kit came with to try to gently get it off… that didn’t work… also it messed with my camera a bit and made the pictures fuzzy. I was like hm… okay. That kind of freaked me out but then I thought I got it to finally focus again.I followed the directions and put the adhesive ring on the new glass and put on my camera. It fit perfectly! When I turned on my camera it was super fuzzy!! Probably because I messed with the camera to get the glass off before I closed it up. I was really upset with myself. I was like oh no all this work and I still have to fork out 300+ dollars to get a new phone. Then I thought… maybe when was wiping it I nudged the camera out of place somehow … maybe if tap my phone on something hard it would nudge the camera back in place. So I tapped the edge of my phone closest to my camera against the table I was working on a few times. BAM my camera is super clear again! What a relieve! This is the whole reason I’m writing this review in case this happens to someone else.Anyways, easy to install. Don’t mess with the camera too much before closing it up. Just blow on it to try to get rid of access dust and glass that might have fallen in when you were trying to take the glass off… be gentle if you use a cloth (which I was … which is why I think the tapping worked to fix it).I’m very happy with this. Saved me 300 dollars! Good luck everyone!Update: I installed this 10/2019 and now it is 9/2020, almost a year later. My camera is doing great. The lens has stayed secure, I was worried it would fall or crack but it is perfect. Very happy with this solution.Update: It is now 11/2021 and it has been over two years since I put this in. I notice last month that dust seems to be building up on the inside of my lens. When I showed it to a friend he noticed that it looks like a finger print. He thinks my fingerprint oils when I installed the lens must be attracting dust inside. So please use gloves when installing!! Other than that the lens has been doing great and even with the inside dust print my pictures are still great. I am now moving on to a new iPhone and so no more updates anymore. Good luck everyone!

Quick fix, inexpensive. This is protective glass cover.
Quick, did NOT have to remove the back of my iphone 8. Only been 1 day so can't say if it will remain on long term. But it was an inexpensive way to let me start using my camera again. My photos are clear so I'd say it's a success! They mention the oem is brown on one side so i assumed that was the front side. As you can tell in pictures the brown side up. I wish they would of specified what side was to be placed down on the camera. But it doesn't seem to effect photos. I'm pleased with product and great tools! Only problem i had was the first adhesive ring did not come off the packaging. But they give you an extra one.

Take Your Time!
Careful handing is required to deal with the tiny and delicate parts. The first self-adhesive ring twisted when separating it from the paper and made a pretzel. Good thing that extras were included! The lens went on easy. After I put the protective case back on the phone and put away the tools, I found a lens on the table! I thought a third lens had fallen from the box, but actually the replacement lens had come off despite applying ample pressure. I placed a little Gorilla glue with a toothpick on the ring to make sure the lens stuck. So far so good. The replacement looks cleaner compared to other fixes involving dabs of silicone adhesive. But not the easiest installation.

Perfect replacement + great tools
This was pretty easy to install and has worked great ever since. The key is to not touch the inside of the glass! Otherwise your photos will always be blurry. Make sure it’s pristine when you stick on. The tools that come along with it are nice quality - your pay more for just those purchased separately.

Super easy to install
I dropped my iPhone 8 a couple weeks after I got it and since the back is glass, yes everything shattered. I’ve been dealing with a broken camera lens for over a year now and finally decided to try fixing it myself. I originally wanted to fix the entire back of my phone since it’s cracked/shattered but instead I just put a case on it and called it good. Anyways I’ve been tired of using my front camera to take abt sort of pictures... so I bought this kit and followed the instructions and bam good as new. However the adhesive was a bit difficult to pull off but I got it and my camera works great and is clear.

Good quality, but be careful with sizing.
I was doing a lens replacement on a customer's iPhone 7. Lens ended up being too big and did not sit flush with the phone. Seller corrected the issue right away and apologized. The quality of the glass is miles better than the other lenses I've purchased on Amazon. The tools included were actually quite useful as well. Adhesive was very strong. I'll give them another try in the future.

Works awesome!
Apple wanted to trash the phone as they don't do repairs on this part. Replacing it was way easier than expected. I used a waterproof silicone glue instead of the provided adhesive strips just to be on the safe side. The product came with two lenses, but I only needed one. It fits perfectly. Make sure you clean the new lens with isopropyl alcohol and the provided microfiber cloth before setting as it did have some debris or smudge on it. It's a minor point and doesn't take away from the full five-star rating.

Easy to fit, great value, the right size.
The right size and full instructions made this surprisingly easy to fix a broken glass camera back cover. With 2 needed tools, 2 replacement glass covers, extra adhesive rings, in case you make a mistake, and with patience and care, it's a simple thing to fix with this kit. 10 out of 10And the tools have lots of other craft applications, so it's pretty good value as well.

Durable , quick and easy install , like new camera
I really was skeptical about buying this thinking it would be the same as every other faulty lens but these proved me wrong drastically , it’s easy to install and sticks in like a charm and for such a cheap price yet so premium, it’s a 5 star in my book

Great replacement!
I ordered this kit to fix my iPhone 8 as I managed to break the camera quite badly and the replacement would have cost £270 from Apple. The phone is less than a year old, I bought it for Christmas 2019 so literally I was really angry.I managed to remove the broken glass and replaced it and now the camera is working properly and hopefully my phone will have a long life expectancy! :)Thank you for the detailed manual, very appreciated!

Apply heat to the new lens once fitted as the adhesive doesn't work well otherwise.
Given this there stars as I had to use the second one within weeks of applying the first one. Adhesion isn't perfect and I had to apply heat to the new one to make it bond. Once fitted it looked perfect.

Two for the Price of One iPhone 7 replacement camera lens cover
You really do need to read the instructions carefully and watch an instructional video on YouTube. Worked really well. Good thick glass cover and strong adhesive washers which comes in two parts so be careful to make sure you know exactly what you are doing! Got two lenses covers and two sets of adhesive pads.
