Instantly my goto set of cans...
Well done fiio. Great entry tier phones. Absolutely nothing wrong with these in any way. Formidable build. V comfortable. Excellent sound quality. Good drivers and a superb package with ok cable etc. I'm cursed to be an audiophile and music equipment junky and must say I'm very impressed with these cans, and can't believe Fiio managed to bring such quality to market at such an agreeable price.

Great for the money but...
Great sound, ok build, light and fit perfectly on my "normal" head, no need to twist the frame like others have had to do.But let me compare them to to something that is twice the price...My other headphones ate DT770 Pros 80 Ohm, and have been using them everyday for 2+ years, I love them, a true classic "pro" budget headphone (in my eyes). I have moded them to have detachable cables and have repaired them a few times as they use dumb plastic fittings where the headphone cup attaches to the headband... Anyway. The JT1s are good, very good except, to my ears, slightly "boomy", but brighter than the DT770s, I feel the DT770s have much more control over all music types (which I would expect), the JT1s are fun and give a new (positive) flavour to music. The audio downs-sides could be that they still need more "running in" or that the light-weight build quality of the headphone cups need more internal dampening (a mod I will try at some point.). The other is the way the spring headband resonates, a slight tap and you can hear the springy sound and the plasticky sound of the cups. Both are fixable with a little ingenuity. My conclusion is:Sound - 4 starValue for money - 5+ StarIf your on a tight budget, you can't go wrong with these, but if you can stretch your budget and can get a chance to listen to other headphones and see what you like the sound of.Remember no right or wrong answer, its about what you like!

Fantastic all rounder!!
I kind of bought these by accident as a gift for my daughter, thinking they were open back.I ordered some AKG 245s and planned to send these back. Well, no chance! I am keeping them! For the price, the sound is just incredible! They sound a lot like Audio Technica M50s, but with a slight v shape sound to them. However, they are much more comfortable than m50s for somebody like me with a more pointy than flat head. Light as a feather and the ear pads, although slightly small are so soft and squishy you can barely feel them! Like a feather light X2HR.Nice wide, immersive soundstage and they sound incredible for any music that suits that v shaped sound. At this price, they have absolutely no business sounding this good!Time will tell re the build quality. That wonderful lightweight property also translates to a flimsy build. Sit on these by accident and it will be game over. Are they perfect? No. Are they a perfect all rounder for general music listening? Possibly! I suspect I’ll be grabbing these more often than some I have that cost multiple times the price!

Fantastically fun headset
These a real fun headphones. They have plenty of bass and have a real all-round sound bounces along with what ever music you through at them. Techno and Drum and Bass and movies sound particularly good on them. Didn't try them with games. Unconditional recommendation for the money.

Great
These headphones have outstanding sound quality even when compared with significantly more upmarket sets, I had read the hype about them and was curious to hear if they really lived up to it, I am pleased to report they are indeed excellentAlso comfortable for long use

Too Big For Average Head
I liked the ear cup size, fits over the ears nicely. Sound is bass-plenty. Fairly easy to drive. The problem was the clamping force is too low, the headphones do not stay in place when moving my head. I ain’t no pin-head, if anything my head size is above average. Shame about the fit as the sound wasn’t bad for the price.omwe

Sweet headphone bliss
For the price it is - it punches WAY Above its weight! Very comfortable, PUNCH bass - solid mids and highs that wont leave you wondering why you hear it long after you have stopped the sound coming out.It is a LITTLE boomy for my tastes - this is great for gaming, movies and some music, but don't expect this to replace your higher end 'everything' headphone. Its made for a bit more of a bass head. Not so great for mixing music, or doing audio work. The headband could use a little tweaking as I feel it is a little loose for my head. The metal headband pings if you accidentally brush it so that often leads me to waiting for it to calm down or have to readjust my head a little from my seat cushion.
