Upgrade to stock seperator plate. Well worth the cost.
This plate does have some larger holes. This is to make the shifts crisper and give a longer transmission life. Some of the sizes are similar to a j mod specs. This is all a good thing and will give the teansmission longer life.

Well made product!
Inspect your plates prior to installation (i had a jmoded unit already). Be mindful that reverse will be stiffer as well. And make sure you apply the correct gasket. The kit comes with 2 gaskets. Make sure the holes line up. You will get a wrench code related to the torque converter not engaging fully if you use the wrong gasket. And make sure you have the correct torque converter. 10.5 in converter is made for 4r75w. Do your research before purchasing.

It's the 2001+ Tuff Plate- what's not to like?
Adding the "VALVE BODY RETAINER PLATE KIT BY SONNAX" for good measure - probably overkill, but I only want to do this once!

Great upgrade for 2004 Ford Expedition 5.4l
Product arrived on time. Bought this to replace cracked separator plate on the valve body of my 2001 Ford Expedition 5.4l 4R75W. I like this thickness of the plate in my opinion it should have been this way from factory. I lost overdrive due to a broken snap ring on overdrive servo. This is a great upgrade over oem.

Nice looking product and better than factory plate
During the transmission rebuild of my 4R75E I noticed the spider cracking common to the separator plate from impact. This plate is very sturdy and looks like a nice upgraded replacement for the factory plate. I would recommend replacing this on all rebuilds that have the stock plate.

Update after install..
Make sure you order the correct one, they have 2 of the same but have a different size hole for 1-2 shift. Mine came with the slight bigger hole not a big deal but the smaller hole for the 1-2 shifts smootherUpdate:: 3 months after installSeems to work well so far but when i received this tuff plate they had sent me the plate with the bigger hole on the 1-2 shift hole, i called them and they said its ok that i would have a smoother shift. This is not true i have a hard shift from 1st to second now, ive had my Expedition for 5 years and never had a hard shift until i installed this plate. Make sure you check that you order the right one. I think you wont know what size hole you have until you compare them both.
