Spenco Plantar Fascia Insole (FSA&HSA Eligible), Arch Support, Deep Heel Cup, Breathable, Trim-to-Fit Sizing- Men's 7-13

Years ago I used to use some Spenco 3/4 length inserts in my shoes but then all local stores stopped selling them. I had to start buying expensive custom inserts, which did not even work very well. While browsing at a Big 5 about a month ago I found a Spenco Plantar Fascia Insole on sale and decided to try it out. I had already thrown out all of the high priced inserts except 2 and was using only 1 of those. It was a nuisance transferring it between sets of shoes. I put the Spencos in the sets of shoes I use for my 3 mile walks, and they were sooo comfy and my feet felt good after the walks. Then I checked Amazon and found the same thing (Spenco Plantar Fascia Insole) at a reasonable price (not quite as good as the sale price, but they only had 1 at Big 5). Now I have them in two pairs of my shoes and even wear one pair inside the house (exclusively) because they are so much better than any slippers you can buy.

Recommended by my ortho and they have really helped my feet issues. I have a pair in each set of shoes now.

The arch is too far back for my feet, so I had to trim a bit more off the toe, scoot them forward, and them put a strip of foam behind the back edge of the heel, to keep them forward that little bit to make the arch actually be in the right place. They also do not feel the most comfortable. My arches hurt very slightly the entire time I use these. But ALSO, after 1 day, the Plantar Fasciitits was AMAZINGLY IMPROVED! I tell you, after the first day of wearing these with slightly uncomfortable arches, I was feeling ready to throw them away, and then the next day, almost all the heel/ankle/leg pain from PF was gone! There's another little issue where if I am exercising or cornering quickly, the insole slips an ever so tiny amount in the shoe and makes a little squeak. However, they do what they claim at a far lower price than others.

I have worn a few types of Spenco insoles for my plantar fasciitis, and these were a disappointment for me. They didn't have near the support that the others have. If you have mild problems, these might be ok, but I have high arches, and these didn't have as much arch as I need, and the heel cup was not as pronounced as the others I have tried. Spenco insoles are one of the best brands out there, but this model was not as helpful to me.

These are and have been since I began wearing them in the '80's, the best insoles I have ever used. I recommend them to all my athletes w/ sore feet, heels, arches etc.--I've been a high school and club coach for 30 years--and they all love them. Three of the five in our family wear these daily! Additionally, these last at least 12 months and generally longer unless they're in my daily running shoes!
