Works perfect! Self contained wireless camera solution.
I have a few NEST cameras at our house. The first 2 were the wired versions - which required drilling a rather large hole in our stucco wall(the ferrite lead and plug on the USB cable is larger than the chord). To reach more areas in our back yard, and farther out front on our street, we needed the battery versions of NEST camera. The two battery cameras in our yard work for about a month between battery charges, at which point we have to take them down and plug them in overnight. We get lazy and don’t put them back up for a day or so. So that means we are without cameras for up to 3 days a month. We put another NEST battery outdoor camera up on a tree out front. Because of the increased activity out front(cars driving by, people walking, etc) the battery on that one only lasts 1 week. That is unsustainable(1 week on, 3 days off). So, I got this solar panel after reading reviews. Installation: It went up easy, just a couple screws. I tossed the little screws that came with it for my own GRK screws. It comes with a long (too long) cable, so you COULD mount it far away from the camera for better sun orientation. But, I just zip-tied the extra chord behind the panel. Some parts of the mount are plastic, so you must be careful. The entire thing is wobbly until all tightened down, mostly so you can orient it(ball joint clamped down by turning plastic collar). It holds up to the breezes we have here and hasn’t moved in 1 month. But being on a ladder with a drill/driver and trying to orient the panel is tricky. You may have to assemble everything on the ground first, screw it in, then adjust it. Definitely wish I’d bundled up the chord before getting on a ladder and trying to do it in the air. Performance: Once plugged in - it has the exact NEST chord connection - the camera immediately recognized it. The battery symbol went away and the camera reads “Solar power” in the app. Works perfect and I haven’t had to recharge it at all. Just point the panel South and tilt it to your latitude for max sun exposure. It feels like the missing piece that NEST forgot. The camera is now totally wirelesss and self contained. Amazing!

Could not keep my Nest camera charged, even in summer sun
I put it right beside another solar panel by a different manufacturer. It did not keep my camera charged all winter, and in fact, didn't keep it charged this sunny summer, either. The other panel is working fine. I'm on the look for a new solar panel right now.

So Far So Good
So far so good. Give update come winter, also the cord is really long. Easier to deal with something long than short I guess.

Reliable, Well-Made -Perfect for Intended Purpose
The 2-pack of Solar Panels for the Google Nest Camera (Battery Version) arrives in packaging that is practical and secure, ensuring the delicate panels and cables are well-protected during transit. Delivery was prompt, and the items arrived in perfect condition, ready to provide continuous power to your cameras. Upon unboxing, the solar panels immediately impress with their sleek, compact design. The dark, usually black, finish of the panels is unobtrusive and blends well with outdoor environments, making them discreet additions to your home's exterior. They feel surprisingly solid and well-constructed, with a sturdy frame that suggests durability and resilience against the elements. The integrated cable, at a generous 13.1 feet, is robust and feels durable, indicating it will withstand outdoor exposure. The attention to detail, like the secure connection point, adds to the overall sense of quality. The IP66 waterproof rating is evident in the sealed construction, giving confidence in their ability to endure rain, dust, and other weather conditions. These solar panels are an absolute game-changer for maintaining the continuous operation of your Google Nest Cameras, effectively eliminating the need for frequent battery recharges. I installed one panel to power my Nest Camera positioned to monitor my front garden, and the other for a camera overlooking my driveway. The 13.1-foot fast charging cable provided ample length to position the panels in optimal sunlight, even when the cameras themselves were in slightly shaded areas. The performance has been exceptional. Even on partly cloudy days, the 5W solar power charger consistently provides enough energy to keep the Nest Camera battery topped up, ensuring uninterrupted surveillance. This means no more clambering up ladders to retrieve cameras for charging, which is an immense convenience and peace of mind. The IP66 waterproof rating has held up flawlessly through various weather conditions, from heavy rain showers to windy days, with no impact on performance. The simple, secure connection to the camera is intuitive, making installation straightforward. These solar panels transform the Nest Camera experience from a battery-dependent device to a truly set-and-forget security solution, making them an invaluable accessory for outdoor (or even indoor with sufficient light) camera setups.

Läuft.
Endlich.
