Inter-lapping historical figures and times of early 1800
We read this as we studied early American history of the 1800s (Sonlight D). It was perfect. It ties in Jefferson, Fulton, Napoleon, and more. The kids looked forward to listening to it, but it could easily be used for a reader instead of a read aloud.

Noteworthy
Genevieve Foster does amazing work. Her book Augustus Caesar's World "Augustus Caesar's World" was wide-ranging and meticulously researched and illustrated."1801" is equally well-researched and illustrated, but the scope is narrowed. It is quick to read and very intersting.Recommended for 5th grade history.

Five Stars
My daughter says she loves it because potentially boring historical facts are put in a "really fun" manner.
