I have been an avid Pelican user for years but this cargo case was a real disapointment. The molding is really bad and it’s all wavy around the edges when it should be straight. It arrived here with many scratches and some from the deburring at the factory. QC is the worst I have seen in years for a product this price. I immediately returned the item. I did place another order directly with Pelican, we’ll see how that goes.

I have a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser with a roof rack from victory. I have two of these boxes side by side on the roof and I find that they're the perfect size and the best storage capacity without being too big or too small. I also have the hardware kit which allows me to take the boxes on and off the roof and they fit perfectly with the hardware kit. Pelican makes the best coolers and protective boxes and the durability of these boxes is second to none. I get compliments from other people who see them on the truck because they look like they're from the factory. They are more expensive than they feel like they should be but once they're in your hands you feel the weight of them and how solidly they close with a beautiful rubber gasket keeping the elements out . We've driven through rain storms at highway speeds and I have yet to find a single drop of moisture inside the box when we stop. There are four very sturdy latches for each box that ensure a tight seal and the options to put locks on the lids as well as the boxes to the roof is a deal maker for me.

Updated : Very well made. I got because goes on in off the roof in less than a minute . I add the hinges to keep open. It takes a couple locks to keep it safe It took time to find ones the correct size locks . Keeps everything dust free and dry. While camping one night a bear came in to camp tossed box around try open it . It did not open just had frozen lick marks.

If you are looking for a sturdy sealer storage with legendary reliability, this is your case. It mounts on Pioneerr rack pretty simple. I did modify the installation to make it challenging to remove. They are not expensive but They are worth it. It’s Pelican, you don’t expect anything less. Two of this size will fit a pioneer rack.

I have two 90 l cargo boxes brought about a year apart. The reason I got the pelicans is because the dimensions were exactly what I needed to fit my roof rack layout on my Van. I've have had smaller cargo boxes on top from a competitor and didn't have any issues with the lids leaking. For what you pay for these pelicans one could only assume they would't leak. The latter one purchased has an even worse issue with the plastic warping in the heat, the back corners (hinge side) flare up breaking any kind of seal with the rubber gasket, also it blows up like a ballon, my first one does not do this but still tends to leak if driving in a hard rain. I noticed that Pelican changed the description from waterproof to weather proof so they are sure of the issue. The plastic is cheap and it appears that all costs went into the latches and metal attachments for their rack system which thank god I did not purchase, I attached 1 1/2 angle aluminum and it rest on some 80/20 aluminum with a locking nut and they slide which I needed because when traveling part of the boxes cover my solar panels. Very disappointed having to empty my cargo out of the box and clean and dry it out and there's no drain plug so I'm Close to drilling a hole in the bottom. To remedy this problem I brought some rubber weather stripping and attached it near the outer perimeter of the box. Haven't been able to test it as there has been little rain here, Needless to say this is my last pelican purchase.
