You don't know it yet, but you really need these!
I recently learned that any Fluorescent tube bulb can be replaced with LED tubes in one of two manners - either remove the ballast and use these types of bulbs, or keep the ballast and buy an LED tube that is built for this configuration. I was a little anxious in buying the one that required I actually dig into the housing and cut wires to remove the ballast. That said, the project ended up being super easy and super straight forward after I found a YouTube (one of hundreds actually) that showed how easy it was. Fair warning, at first, I was questioning how easy this was really going to be - I took the center cover off that houses the ballast and the wiring and the number of wires was like "uh oh" many more than I was expecting. This, it turns out is not a roadblock since you just combine the wires on the left together and connect them to the wire that originally went to the left, and you combine all the wires on the right together and connect them to the wire that originally went to the right. Seems ironically simple now that I type it out, but there was a moment of panic. I will also add that if you have some of the push connectors that have become common place (here's a great combo pack for under 10 dollars: Push-in Wire Connector Wall-Nut 2/4/6/8 Port Conductor Combination Assortment Pack for Junction Boxes, Non-Twist Connector for Solid, Stranded, and Tin Bonded Wire 40 Pack) the job is even easier - especially with the 4 pin connectors. Okay, so installation (the biggest hurdle for me 'fear wise' ended up being a lot more simple than anything I imagined. But how do they look? The laundry room is now much, much brighter than the old fluorescent bulbs - and that is much appreciated! They also get bright 'immediately' not slowly ramping up - another great thing since our laundry room is also the mudroom from the garage side of the house. I love these. I can't say enough how well these brighten things up in the house. Having two 4-foot tubes that still kept the room pretty dark before, to now having two 4-foot tubes that light up 10x of before might actually be too much for some people; that said, most places these types of fixtures are located normally are for shop/garages, laundry rooms, sheds, etc. - then these are exactly what you want - cheap, BRIGHT, no ballast issues to worry about, and they'll last years longer than the fluorescents they replaced. Not to mention how more energy efficient they are. These are definitely a 5-Star Plus upgrade for any home.

Works well for a shop light
I have a ballasted 4' florescent fixture that is over 60 years old and used starters. It still worked but I decided to upgrade it. I gutted all the old ballast and starters and disposed of them. Then I installed new shunted tombstones in the fixture because these new ballast bypass tubes need each pair of pins to be wired common. Then all you do is directly wire your 120v ac with hot on one side of the tubes and neutral on the other and Bob's your uncle. So now I have a very retro looking fixture over my workbench that weights less with the clunky old ballast removed and makes very bright modern light. Just make sure you put some kind of warning label on any fixture you convert this way because there is nothing to stop somebody from putting a ballast-type tube in those tombstones and I'm sure that would cause trouble if somebody made that mistake.

Well worth the little bit of time to get rid of the ballast.
I had some type A in the fixture, but ballast was going bad, so I went to type B lights of the same lumens. I did have to rewire to type B. I don't know if it was the ballast, but these are a lot brighter. My wife is really happy with them.

Easy swap out to old ballasted fixture
Well packaged: 12 lamps in a double thickness cardboard box with pin protector caps on each end. Took about 30 minutes to open up the first fixture & remove the ballast, cutting the wires close to the ballast. Then paired the two yellows to the white line wire and the two reds and two blues all with the black line wire. Reassembled the fixture, installed the bulbs and bright light. Next two fixtures about 12-15 minutes each. Most of the first fixture time was due to gathering the tools and ladder needed. Did put date on each lamp for future reference. Color ~ cool white fluorescent as expected.

Works as advertised, good price
Removed the defective ballast and installed these LED bulbs. Worked fine out of the box. Not sure about the longevity as I have only been using them for a few weeks. Good price

The Future Is So Bright
As a stopgap, I decided to replace the fluorescent tubes in the garage for now instead of replacing the hanging fixtures altogether. I removed the ballasts, rewired, and cleaned the housings which were about fifteen years old and dusty / sooty. Popped in the new LEDs and nearly blinded myself. These things are awesome.

I'm the only problem I have with these; they work great.
These worked great. I removed my ballasts and used the existing wire nuts to get the connections where they needed to be. The only tools I needed were an adjustable wrench to get the ballast out of the light housing and a wire stripper to open up the ends of several wires that I cut off of the ballast. I did not see any strobe effect/flickering indicative of low-quality LED bulbs after checking with a fan and by waving my hand around under the light. My only complaint is my own forgetfulness to check the light temperature before buying them. 6000K is a very white light, and all the other lighting in the area these are installed is 3000K. I will be purchasing a different set of bulbs, but these work great regardless of my distaste for the aesthetic. I'll save them in case there are issues with my next purchase.
